Obsessions This Week

by Ally Harding, 6:46 PM
We had a pretty busy weekend and I worked an extra shift this week so my blog has been neglected. Pixie and I got our hair did today. I went with the blonder look and Pixie went the shorter look.

Notice the chipped paint area to the right of the door. Yeah, that's from Pixie licking the door whenever we are outside and she isn't. I guess she thinks if she licks the door long enough the door will open.

I have this top coming in the mail tomorrow

along with this necklace.

I recently went "low-dairy", and I say low rather than dairy free because I tried to go dairy free for a while and for 2 weeks it was doable but it's really hard to not eat something with dairy in it everyday. When you go out to eat or make dinner it's very hard to find total dairy free foods. So I try to limit myself to dairy once or twice a week. I was breaking out bad on my chin and read that if you break out on your chin it could be from too much dairy in your diet so cut it out for 2 weeks and see what happens. Well fortunately and unfortunately for me my breakouts stopped but that mean't no more cheese, yogurt, milk, ice cream, I mean let's be real, the best things in life. I did find dairy free ice cream made with coconut milk. It's not as great as regular ice cream but it hits the spot. I also drink almond milk and I really like it better than normal milk. Make sure to get the Blue Diamond brand and not the Silk brand though. Silk's tasted too sweet to me.

This is exactly what I buy. It has just as much calcium as milk, less calories, and it's made with almonds so you get Omega-3 fatty acids too.

I picked up this book from the library
I had read on a few blogs how great it was and it does not disappoint. I'm having a hard time putting it down.

Theo and I are going here in 2 weeks from Friday!

I haven't been since 4th grade! Saying I'm excited is an understatement.

We'll be crashing here
Before you think we have tons of money, the trip is through Theo's work. It's the second time they've put us up at a Ritz-Carlton for a trip and I'm not complaining.

  1. We love the almond milk, too. Glad it's working for you. If only they made dairy-free brie :) Have a wonderful weekend, love!
