Weekend Wrap-up

Friday I went to TJ Maxx just to look around and found the "Bun Ease." It's the same thing as the hair doughnut. Like I had said in my last post I had tried the sock bun before and it turned out pretty bad so I was on the search for something I could buy to make the top knot easier and the Bun Ease is it.
Top Knot Success:

That night we went to an Irish Pub called Madra Rua to watch the USA vs Jamaica World Cup qualifying game.

I think USA won? I know that's bad but I was too busy talking to Meredith :)

Saturday I met my matron of honor and one of my bridesmaids at California Dreaming for lunch. Tiffany, my matron of honor, lives in Charlotte and was in town for the weekend. We had a few drinks and enjoyed the awesome view. I wish I had taken a picture of the view because we were sitting outside right by the water.
Tiffany on the left , Heather and I on the right.

After lunch I went back to TJ Maxx and tried on this Joie dress

If you search hard you can find some good finds at TJ Maxx. I've always heard not to try clothes on if you aren't planning on buying them because once you try it on you feel like you have ownership to it and basically have to buy it.
Yah that's definitely me.

And I wore it that night to Theo's cousin Emily's birthday dinner at Taco Boy

Look at her awesome cake

She's obsessed with Fast and the Furious 6 so her mom surprised her with this cake. It say's "Have a Fast and Furious Birthday Emily."

Look at this cute little thing hoping her daddy will drop some food in her mouth

I work Sunday nights so I've got a lot to do around the house before then.

Hope you all had a great weekend!

  1. Nice job on the bun!
My hair is way too thin to ever accomplish that but yours looks great!

  3. I love Joie so much that whenever I find it super discounted I have.to.buy. Terrible habit, but hey at least it's not full priced! :)

    1. Omg girl me too! It wasn't exactly "cheap" but heavily discounted from the real price. I think that justifies itself!
