Guest Room Decor

by Ally Harding, 5:00 AM
I'm embarrassed to say that we have lived in our house for over a year now and my guest bedroom still looks like this

It makes me cringe every time I have to walk in there.
It's basically becoming a great place to store things you don't know where else to put. We don't have a lot of out of towners, all of my family lives here and pretty much all Theo's does too, so you can obviously see why I haven't been rushing to fix it up.
Have you guys checked out Houzz? Maybe I'm late in the game but it's like Pinterest but just for your house. I love it and can spend hours and hours on it putting pictures into my Ideabooks of inspiration for my house.
Here are some guest room pics I love

I think it's pretty obvious I want to go with a simple white bedding with decorative pillows. I figure I'd be stupid to put all white bedding on my bed with an all black dog who's always dirty and always on my bed, so why not do all white with my guest bed?
I found this awesome all white bedding on Bed Bath and Beyond for $100!! I just can't justify spending tons of money on bedding for a bed that rarely gets used.

I love the sunburst mirror on the back wall
Found this great one from Ballard Designs

I also love the monogrammed pillows
I found some cute ones at Pottery Barn with monogramming they would be $26 a pillow.

And I'd like to add some decorative toss pillows
Target has tons of cute ones

Stick some fresh flowers on the bedside table and the room would be guest ready!
