Hot Crab Dip and Justin Blabaer

This weekend I

made a easy and yummy crab dip courtesy of The Pioneer Woman. We had some friends and family over Saturday night and I knew I wanted to try a new dip. I've made food before using Pioneer Woman's recipes and they are always delicious. I love her website because she takes pictures her making the recipe, ingredient by ingredient so it's easy to follow along and make sure what you're making looks close enough to hers.

:: Hot Crab Dip ::

Ingredients
 2 packages 8oz cream cheese
2 Tablespoons of mayonnaise
2 cans of 7oz crabmeat -I used Chicken of the Sea brand
4 whole Green Onions, Sliced
2 Tablespoons Whole Milk
2 Tablespoons Horseradish (more To Taste)
1/2 teaspoon Salt Freshly
Ground Black Pepper
5 dashes Tabasco (more Or Less To Taste)
1/4 cup Slivered Almonds - I skipped this

Instructions

Place cream cheese and mayonnaise in a mixer fitted with a paddle attachment. Beat to combine. Add remaining ingredients except almonds and beat gently until just combined. Spoon into a heatproof baking dish. Sprinkle with slivered almonds, then bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden and bubbly on top. Serve with corn chips or crackers.
It was delish!
I didn't put the slivered almonds on top because I didn't have any and I don't have a food processor so I just mixed everything by hand. I let the cream cheese sit out for awhile so it would be at room temperature and easy to stir. I served mine with club crackers and tortilla chips.
There's a cold crab dip she has on the same webpage I want to try. It's with avocados.
I picked up a new candle this weekend and the is scent is great and the candle is pretty but I can't get the candle to smell! I must have the worst luck with candles because you can never smell them in my house. Any advice? One time I bought the same exact candle as my mom, it was a Yankee Candle, and her's smelled strong in her house but you come to my house and nothing. What am I doing wrong?! Am I lighting it wrong?? I give up.

Yes, this is a real beer.
It's by the Danish brewing company called Evil Twin and a local brewery here in Charleston called Westbrook partnered with them too. It's a blueberry beer and evidently Blabaer is the danish word for blueberry. Here's a write up about it if you're interested. I didn't like the actual beer too much but I'd buy it just for the bottle, it's pretty ridiculous.
A few pics from this weekend
Me and Pixie dancing. Doesn't everyone dance with their dog?

She hates it. She tries to bite my hand the whole time.

  3. The only candles that actually smell in my house are the bath and body works one. I've never found any other candle that actually smelled before finally buying some from that store. Have you tried them? Plus, they have the most amazing fragrances!
