Oreo Cake Recipe

After reading Amy's post, I realized I also had my text in the center of the page and I guess it makes it hard for people to read. As much as I like it in the center, I'll try it normal.

How much would you kill me if I did it like this?

Don't worry I'm not. I am going to give y'all the delicious Oreo aka Cookies and Cream Cake recipe I made. It was so good and so easy except for one tiny mishap.

Oreo Cake

Ingredients - Cake
1 Box White Cake Mix
15 Oreos, crushed

Ingredients- Frosting
1 8oz package Cream Cheese, softened
1 16oz box powdered sugar
1 8oz container Cool Whip, room temperature
15 Oreos, crushed
1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract

Recipe
  1. Grease and flour 2-3 8 inch round pans. I was an idiot and thought spraying Pam would be enough. HA! I also used a Bundt pan instead of 8 inch rounds.
  2. Prepare according to box directions, stirring in the crushed Oreos into the batter.
  3. Pour into pans and bake as directed on White Cake mix box. Remove cake from oven when done and allow to cool completely.

Frosting

  1. Add vanilla, mix well, and stir in Cool Whip.  Make sure you stir in the Cool Whip and not mix, the frosting will come out runny.
  2. Fold in the crushed Oreos until well blended and frost cooled cake.
  3. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
So that's it. Very simple, easy, and delicious. My mistake was not greasing the pan enough so when I went to dump the cake out of the pan half came out of the pan and half stayed in. I still took all of the cake pieces and placed them on my cake stand and iced that sucker and it didn't effect the taste at all. It even kind of looked like how it was supposed to look, kind of?

Enjoy!

  2. I love oreo anything, this sounds amazing. Don't you hate when things stick to the pan? Baking is not nearly as good of a friend to me as cooking is.
