1. {READ}
I found this article on "Is Being Childfree Selfish?" and this is a topic that comes up a lot with Theo and I. I do want to have kids one day but the more my friends start to have kids the more I realize how much of a life changer it is. And I hate to say this, but as much as they love their children, they are in a way unhappy. I have a friend who's husband sleeps on the couch because their son won't sleep at night so he now sleeps with her. That can't be good for their marriage. We have some neighbors who are in their 40's and never had kids and we always laugh because they seem so happy together. They are always laughing and enjoy spending time together. I don't really know what the right answer is. We are going to have kids in a few years for sure but I do worry about our marriage and being  unhappy. Funny thing is after I found the first article about being childfree, I found this article on "How to be Happily Married with Kids." a few minutes later. For now I'm enjoying our time together without kids!

Theo's actually the one who introduced me to this song which is ironic because this is the same guy who says girl bands suck and only guys can be lead singers. I know it doesn't make sense to me either. I love this song and play it on repeat all the time.

3. {BUY}
I NEED this jewelry box, NOW! It's every bloggers dream! Not only does it fit all your jewelry in it but it's a full length mirror too so you can take selfies all day long! Ok, let's hope you really don't but still how awesome is this jewelry box?! I have one that's been great and held all of my jewelry but the door to it has broken so it never closes now. And it can't hold long necklaces. But this one holds everything! It's on sale now too! It comes in white or black.

4. {WATCH}
Tell me what y'all think about this marriage proposal. The girl says no to the proposal and it's at a baseball game so it was caught on camera which is why it's been made a big deal. The whole thing seems a little fake to me. Like why isn't he upset? It's like he doesn't even care she rejected him. I think the MC is in on a it too. If it is fake then they're all horrible actors.

5. {EAT}

These popsicles look so delicious! I mean who doesn't love cookie dough?! And they were made with almond milk so two thumbs from me! It's so hard to find dairy free ice cream that actually tastes good. I've bought coconut milk ice cream but I think it has more fat and calories then dairy milk ice cream! Almond milk is 60 calories a serving and very little fat so it's much better for your waist line. I will definitely be making these sometime soon especially with how hot it's been this summer.

Invisible Cookie Dough Ice Pops

Makes 10 popsicles
2 1/2 cups of almond milk (You can use regular milk too)
2/3 c light brown sugar packed
a few pinches of salt
2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/4 cup + 1 teaspoon mini chocolate chips (Not really sure why you need 1/4 c plus 1 teaspoon?)

Place milk in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for about 1 minute, or until warm to the touch.
Stir in brown sugar and salt until dissolved.
Stir in vanilla.
Place ½ tablespoon of chocolate chips in the bottom of your popsicle molds.
Fill to the top with milk mixture. Insert sticks and freeze until solid.

Have a great weekend!

  1. I NEED that jewelry holder!!! How perfect! I'm adding those articles to my reading for today too. Have a good weekend!

  2. Zack and I have that conversation about kids all the time! Were so happy just the two of us, we love traveling and being spontaneous and carefree. But, then again, were worried we'd feel like were missing out one day if we don't have them. I guess right now there's no rush...were both just waiting for that urge to hit one of us then we'll see what happens.

  3. Okay those popsicles look right up my alley!

  4. I feel ya on the kids. I eventually want them but I have so much I want to do before I have some little nuggets. I feel my biological clock ticking and I don't like it!

  5. My sister in law does not want kids and I know that there are going to be times I will envy her and her freedom! But I think it works both ways pros and cons to each situation. And guess what David HATES cookie dough...so more for me!

  6. That's interesting about your friends being unhappy because having out child actually made our marriage stronger and more fulfilled. It also taught me to appreciate my family, husband and friends more because seeing Sawyer grow so fast showed me how time really is so fleeting. It's a tough decision though and have a ball before you take that leap! Also, those Popsicles look delicious!!! Yum!!

  7. Ummm that jewelry box mirror is so neat! Why haven't I ever seen that before, it makes so much sense!
