Fall Shoe Edit

by Ally Harding, 5:00 AM
Summer is officially over September 22, so it's time to start packing up your sandals and pulling out your boots! I know I am so excited about wearing boots but living in the South I know I won't be wearing them till November, if I'm lucky. Boots aren't the only shoes to wear in the Fall. According to "them", (am I the only one who wonders who "them" is?), stacked boots, flashy loafers, and "these aint ya Grandpa's" oxfords are in style for Fall also. You know I can never pass on doing a fun Polyvore board so I decided to do a few boards on the "It" shoes for Fall! Good news is I tried to keep them in the $200 price range or less. We all need to start budgeting for Christmas!!

Prints are great to dress up a Fall wardrobe. Animal prints are great because they can be worn as a neutral. I've been dying to buy a pair of the Joie Day Dreaming flats forever. I really like this print because of all the different colors it can be matched with.

Booties are so big right now and they should be. They look great with a dress or skinny jeans. Stacked heel booties are dressier than your typical flat booties. They're perfect to wear in the Winter too. I have the Dolce Vita ones in a smaller heel and love them. I'm tall so I tend to shy away from high heels but I'm really loving the Jeffrey Campbell ones. With the boots black and the heel a shade of brown they'll go with everything!

Oxfords have come along away from your typical men's dress shoe. My husband would laugh me out of the house and think I went to pitch for the other team if I wore these shoes. I don't care what he says, I still like them! These would look great with some dark skinny jeans and an oversized sweater.

It made my day when I saw that knee high boots are big for Fall. I just bought some Stuart Weitzman over the knee boots and can't wait to wear them! Over the knee boots are sexier than your typical boot and look great with skinny jeans or a dress or skirt. If you're short and worried they might over power you, they make boots that are just below your knee. But honestly I think anyone can wear these boots.

Loafers are big this Fall and designers have a taken a big spin on your classic loafer with detailing. Loafers have an iconic style and can be worn for years. I love the Tory Burch fox loafers and love even more that they're on sale for $175. Don't they just look so comfy? Like you're wearing your slippers out in public.
