Splurge vs Steal : Fall 2013

by Ally Harding, 5:00 AM
Now that Labor Day is gone it's time to starting thinking about Fall Fashion. Or if you're like me you've been thinking about it since it turned 95 degrees outside. I know most of us weren't able to attend NYC Fall Fashion Week back in March so I thought I'd do a post on what's in for Fall this year.
These are all according to E!online.

E! says "everywhere we looked saw fur of all kinds!" I've been wanting this Joie Rabbit Fur Vest forever but I don't love the price. Luckily found this cheaper alternative on Chelsea Notes blog.

According to E!, "leather was a major theme of the runways." Which is great for me because I just bought a new vegan leather jacket and leather over the knee high boots. I'm really liking leather shift dresses for Fall also. I've never owned a leather dress and don't think I ever will because of the hefty price tag, so I found a cheaper alternative.

Designers such as Philip Lim and and Alexander Wang said "Fall is all about laidback simplicity. We call it cocooning, where thick knits and heavy textures just envelope the body."  Sounds good to me!

According to E!, rich and sultry wine is the color for Fall. I love the color wine for a Fall handbag. It's actually almost a neutral color and goes with black and brown.

  5. Cocooning I am so down with that!! That Joie fur vest is adorable - but I rather it be on the rabbit then on me. I am all about faux fur!

  6. Trina Turk made a fab fur vest last year that ended up going on major clearance...I still kick myself for not grabbing it when I could! That Joie one might just fill the void!
