Weekend

If follow me on Instagram then you already saw what I was up to Friday night. But in case you forgot I'll refresh your memory! I went with some girlfriends to Wine and Design to "Paint Your Pet" night! It was so much fun! You send them a picture of your pet a few days before the class and they take the picture and print it on a huge canvas. I say huge, I don't know the exact dimensions, but you can see it compared to the original picture.  I was so excited to paint my little schnuckers but was sad because poor little thing needs a haircut bad and had hair all in her left eye! :( I told the teacher James and he said in his cool artist way "It's fine! We'll paint over it! Painting is all about being a free spirit and going wherever the wind takes you." Ok, I may of made that last part up but it seemed like something that would have come out of his mouth.

The Artist Formally Known as Ally hard at work. Funny story, I texted Theo this picture and he showed it to his friends and they all thought I had painted all of it. They didn't know it was just Pixie's picture printed on the canvas and I was really faking that I was painting for the picture. I think I had done like her pupil at this point.

It was tough, and frustrating, and at times I didn't know where it was going or where that empty wine bottle came from, but a las I finished it!

Pixie's a tennis ball addict so I had to make sure I used a picture with one in her mouth.

The group picture. No offense to any one else, but how much does Ann's picture, the bottom left yellow lab, put the rest of ours to shame?

Saturday night Theo and I decided to we would go out to eat so I had a few of these to get me in the mood

I dressed in a comfy Fall outfit

We went to our favorite pizza place EVO and had the Sausage, Squash and Zucchini Pizza. DELISH!

After dinner we tried to stay up and watch the last episode of Orange is the New Black, but were too tired. Good thing because we had a busy Sunday ahead of us!

We got up early Sunday morning and walked to Parson Jack's to have brunch with Mr. Monty!

His parentals came too

I had wayyyy too many of these.

I was too busy drinking my Bloody Mary's I didn't even take advantage of the all you can eat brunch buffet. I was just happy to have a Sunday off!

Pixie begging for a sip of Daddy's mimosa.

The girls and our dogs

Best family picture we could get. I love Pix to death but black dogs just don't show up too well in pictures.

It was a fun weekend and I only have to work 2 nights this week!
Hope everyone has a great Monday!

  1. I think your painting is sooo good!! I really want to try it here. I think I'd struggle because Poppy is all black -- she also doesn't photograph well!
