5 on Friday

So happy it's Friday! Hopefully we'll be hitting up this on Saturday
Gyros and wine? Yes please! Side note: is it pronounced "Hero", "jye-row" or "your-oh"? I always said "your-oh" but when I used to watch Bethenny Frankel's reality shows she always said "jye-row" and she's a chef so I figured she would pronounce it right. I also figured her marriage would last and well, we all know that outcome.

Linking up today for
THE GOOD LIFE BLOG
1. {READ}
Do you have a hard time remembering people's names you just met or do you walk into a room and totally forget what you've walked in there for? Then check out this article on How To Remember Literally Everything. There's nothing worse then going to introduce someone and you can't remember their name!

2. {LISTEN}
If you're an Incubus fan then check out the lead singer Brandon Boyd's new band Sons of the Sea. I kept hearing the song on Sirius and I could not figure out who's voice it was! It was driving me insane! It's definitely no Incubus but it's ok. The music video is little odd. It's just Brandon rolling around in soap with a girl. I feel like I'm secretly watching him have sex and it's just down right disturbing... but anyways here's the video.

3. {BUY}
Since it's OctNOber and I'm not buying anything for the whole month, I decided to start shopping within my closet. I wrote a post about my love for Miranda Kerr's style but I really do look at her as role model in so many other ways. She just seems like a mom who has it all together, raises her son, stays healthy, maintains a great marriage, works still and most importantly always looks amazing.

I absolutely loved this outfit she wore and realized I had some of the same items in my own closet! It's such a great Fall outfit too!
Blouse: Equipment / Bag: Michael Kors

And my take on it
Blouse: Daniel Rainn / Jeans: Rich and Skinny / Flats: LC Lauren Conrad / Bag: Kate Spade
I just realized how dusty my mirror is. It looks like my jeans are dirty, but it's just dust on the mirror. Guess it's time to clean! I love this outfit and would probably never have put it together myself. I know I'll wear it often now!

4. {WATCH}
This video has been going viral all week so I'm sure most of you have seen this but if you're like my husband and have no clue what I'm talking about then here it is. This woman worked for a company that makes news videos and she started feeling her boss cared more about how many views each video got than the actual content of the videos. So she went to work really early and made a video of her own of her dancing around the office telling her boss she quits. I heard her boss made a video too but I haven't seen it yet.

5. {EAT}

Since I have Greek food on the brain I found this mouthwatering recipe for Skillet Spinach Pie. It's similar to Spanakopita which is pure heaven to me. I know Spanakopita usually calls for time consuming phyllo dough folding but with this recipe you just place the dough in the skillet. I think this is going to be our dinner tonight. My stomach is growling just thinking about it! Feta and spinach is my weakness!

Have a good weekend!

  1. LOVE Greek food! One of my favorites actually - and it seems like whenever Aaron and I decide to eat out its the first thing we both suggest ;) I have no idea how the actual way to say gyro is...I think I do it different every time haha!

    You nailed the Miranda Kerr outfit!! Looks almost exactly the same!
    Have a great weekend! xx

  3. The Greeks say "ye-row." The gamma is hard for English speaking people to say. (Actually, a lot of the Greek alphabet is super weird.)

    I want to see what that girl's boss posted in response! Hahah
