Holy Moly you guys the February issue of InStyle magazine had an article about Kelly Wearstler's Malibu Beach house decor and it is A-mazing. I had heard of Kelly as an interior designer but hadn't really looked into too much of her work. So I was shocked when I read she was originally from Myrtle Beach, SC. Pretty awesome a fellow Southern girl made a name for herself and owns this gorgeous second home. I am officially a fan now.
I am in love with her style. I always considered my home style kind of boring. I mean when we moved in our house I was estatic the walls were all beige. I love how she takes neutrals and mixes in crazy patterns. She uses the most unique pieces. Somehow it all comes together beautifully.

You may or may not know I have an obsession with white fluffy rugs. Can I please have the one at the foot of her bed? And I hope to one day own a home so big and open I can house a full tree in it. Judging by the two boys jumping on the bed I doubt the house always stays this pristine. You think maybe she rents the house out for weeks at a time in the summer? Family Beach House 2014!
I love interior design - I wish I had the eye for it - I love my apartment and decor but don't have the vision (or budget) for bigger things like this - I don't know what we'll do when we get a big house!!

Such a unique style. Love the all-white rooms but that is something that unfortunately cannot be done at our house!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that white fluffy rugs are the best! I was thinking that I hope the kids have a kid friendly area. Love a beautiful home, but prefer one that looks lived in while making memories!
ReplyDeleteI love the neutrals are being used more. I feel like by doing things in neutrals, I can always mix it up later if I get sick of it.
ReplyDeleteSOOOO MUCH LOVELINESS! I'm always a sucker for beautiful neutrals like these!!! xx
