5 on Friday

Linking up for 5 on Friday!

{ONE}
Have you guys heard about the controversy with Subway? Here's a hint:

Food Babe, an awesome blog by the way, decided to investigate more into how healthy Subway really is and found out they put a chemical used to make yoga mats and rubber soles in their bread. It's called azodicarbonamide and it's actually illegal in some countries. Europe and Australia's Subways don't put this chemical in their Subway bread but go figure we do. This chemical is linked to respiratory issues and allergies but most importantly it's not supposed to be eaten! Luckily Food Babe has made such an uproar, as she should, and Subway has agreed to take the chemical out. Check out Food Babe's blog for other crazy things in our food we should't be eating. It's pretty scary! She's also the one who got Chick Fil A to only use antibotic free chicken within 5 years.

My Gigi New York Uber Clutch in Embossed Python finally came in! I say finally because I ordered it almost a month ago when they were having 1/2 off all Fall items. All their bags are handmade and you can tell the craftsmanship that goes into the bag. It even smells like real leather. I decided to get the largest clutch, because get this, I don't own a single clutch! I have a F21 bag I got forever ago that I usually carry if I go out but that's it. I chose the grey color since it would go with anything. These bags are pretty expensive normally so I quickly snatched up this great deal!

The Sole Society Anneke heels I ordered came in this week also. I blogged about them a week ago and really wanted the black pair to wear to a wedding in March but they were sold out so I decided to order the nude instead. I'm really happy I went with the nude. They'll go with so much and they're a perfect 2.5 inch heel.

They're as close as I'm ever going to get to these beauties

Since it's getting warmer here I guess it's time to tame the beast. The beast meaning my legs! That's an exaggeration, they aren't that bad. Although Theo would disagree. I finally tried out the Vaseline Spray & Go Lotion I got for Christmas after shaving my legs this week and it makes the whole process so much easier. I have to put lotion on after shaving or I get so itchy and dry and this spray lotion is perfect for that. I just sprayed it on after the shower, rubbed it in and I'm good to go. It dried instantly. No itching, just smooth.

I'm so excited because tonight I'm heading to the Madewell Opening Party downtown on King Street! I was so happy they invited me to the event. I'm sure it's because they know I've spent way too much money at Madewell but whatever the reason is I can't wait!

Have a great weekend!

  1. I've contemplated using the Vaseline spray because regular Vaseline is so sticky and gooey, but now I'm definitely going to take it for a spin :)

  20. I saw that Subway bread thing on the news, seriously...so gross! It makes me mad that Subway puts crap in their bread, and it obviously can be sold without it. Ridiculous. Those heels are amazing, and I think they're way more everyday and wearable than the Valentino ones. SO CUTE!
