5 on Friday

It's been a week! I've had yucky pink eyes, yes that's right both eyes were nasty and cruddy, but they're all cleared up now so I'm back to normal life. I felt like a hermit those first few days. It didn't help that when I went to the Dr. he says "Wow, you've got it bad. One of the worst cases I've seen. Probably need to stay away from people for a few days." Anyways, I'm happy it's Friday and I can finally be around people other than my husband and my puppy dog.

{ONE}
Last night I went to Anthropologie's Spring Fashion Show with my friend Jessie. I'm not a huge Anthro fan, it's not that I don't like their clothes, I do, it's that they're kind of expensive and I feel like they carry more distinct pieces rather than pieces that are versatile. If that makes any sense.

They were passing out champagne and had a dessert table.

Some outfits from the show

I loved everything I saw but this Pintucked Buttondown Bird Blouse stood out most. It ran very small, I'm normally a 4 and it was too tight in my shoulders. I didn't try the 6 on because I was worried it then be too wide. Oh, the issues when you're tall.

{TWO}
Since I've been home all week, I was able to catch up on some smart, educated shows. You know like Chrisley Knows Best and Chasing Maria Menounos.

Have you guys watched this show? Theo would seriously slit his throat if he had to watch 2 seconds of it. It comes on USA. It's pretty ridiculous. They're a big southern family from Atlanta but the dad Todd is the main star. How this man is not gay is beyond me. Just watch 1 minute of it, you'll agree. Any man who says he's so happy to be so wealthy because he can now do what he really wants to do, which is a career in fashion and that he has his closet organized by season is well um.. I'll let you form your own opinion.

Maria is just plain adorable but her boyfriend of 15 years AND HER PARENTS live with her, in one room over. It's worth watching if you love seeing how celebrities live their lives, which is my guilty pleasure.

{THREE}
My favorite tote brand Cuyana has now come out with an adorable envelope clutch for Spring.

It comes in 4 different colors but I love this neutral grey. You can't get it monogrammed yet but I hope they get on that fast!

{FOUR}

Has anyone tried this yet? After spending precious time painting my nails last night only for them to get ruined because I thought they were dry enough, I'm dying to try this Rimmel 60 Seconds Dry nail polish. I usually use Essie but I really don't think Essie polishes are as great as everyone says they are. My nails start chipping after only a few days. This nail polish is less than $2 and it dries quick, it'll definitely be coming home with me on my Target run.

  7. i feel the same way about anthropologie's clothes...they are all a little too "unique" for me. like whhhyyy all the ruffles?! but i LOVE their home items -- especially antrho candles, bowls and cups. o and i watched an episode of Chrisley Knows Best and I thought the same thing -- that and he is a CRAZY parent! so controling.. but not about the right things like how about you dont let your daughter dress like a hooker, and who cares if your son goes to a football game?! o well. xo jillian - cornflake dreams

  8. I feel the same way about Antrho, they can have great pieces but can also be so expensive! I have not tried the Rimmel nail polish but am always ruining my nails due to not being able to wait long enough for them to dry! Looking forward to Tuesdays link up! Have a great weekend love!

  9. How cool that you got to go to a fashion show!! Definitely on my list of things to do in my lifetime!! I totally agree that essie polishes are too hyped up - that pink is so pretty - but if you ever worry about drying time - check Seche Vite on amazon - it's cheap and dries your nails in seriously 2 minutes!! I wish we had oxygen I love Maria and that show with Chrisley - he is so CRAZY!!! Hope you have a great weekend!

  15. Yay so exciting about your link up!! I agree with the Essie, I love the colors but I feel like I'm always fixing them! Let me know how that polish comes out! Also, loving that clutch, especially in that color! See you tomorrow! :)

  18. I'm so happy you feel (and look) better. But nothing like doctor's orders to stay home and catch up on TV! :) Happy Friday!

  19. The fashion show looks like so much fun! Love that clutch and I'm going to pick up one of those Rimmel nail polishes. I think Essie is kind of overrated, too. I love the color choices but mine always chip pretty quickly! Happy Friday!

  20. So glad that your pink eye has cleared up and you can rejoin the community again! :) I agree 100% about Anthro, cute stuff, very distinct tho. I personally don't own anything from there....yet. :)Have a wonderful weekend!! OH and I love that clutch!

  21. The whole Maria situation is bizarre to me but I'd definitely be curious to watch. That ATL man is so feminine I don't need to watch to believe you haah. The fashion show looks fun! Happy weekend (sans pink eye)!

  22. Glad you're on the up + up! I've been watching Maria's show but hadn't seen the other one. It's insane to me that she's is decently well off, if not wealthy, yet still lives w. her parents. Or they live w. her. Get a carriage house and put them in that at the very least! Haha. Have a fabulous weekend!

  23. Looks like so much fun! And I love your clutch!

  24. I love trashy tv - KUWTK is a favorite. Cliche, I know, but what can you do?!

  25. Came by way of the linkup. Absolutely LOVE Chrisley Knows Best, though I agree, that man has to be gay. What's funny is that the man lives 7 minutes from my house so I keep yelling at the tv "I know where that is!" Gorgeous clutch, beautiful blog. Hope you have a great weekend!

  26. OMG. I think Chrisley is HILARIOUS! But O can't stand it!! And, yes, I was surprised to find that Todd was straight...
