Weekend

This is my 200th post! I can't believe I've done 200 posts already. I would have never thought I would have been able to come up with that many different things to write about! Thanks to everyone who has supported my blog thus far. It's been such a blast for me to express myself and reading everyone's sweet comments makes it all worthwhile. So thank YOU!

I wanted to do a play it by ear weekend and that's exactly what we did. When Theo got home from work on Friday we headed to Parson Jack's with little Pixie and had a few beers.

Sorry for the blurry pic but I was trying to quickly capture the moment of Theo telling Pixie to stop barking. Parson Jack's is perfect for dogs because the outside area is fenced in but it also means Pixie barks 10x more because there is that fence between her and people walking by. I keep telling Theo the owner is going to throw us out because she barks so much.

After Parson Jack's we came home, dropped Pixie off and headed to Madra Rua for some more food and drinks. Irish Nachos and Lobster Bisque, yum-O. Got to keep it healthy ;) Irish Nachos are nachos with Shepherd's Pie drizzled on top. It's amazing.

They also had this new drink called a Cathead Mule. It's Cathead Pecan Vodka and ginger beer. I'm a ginger beer freak so of course I loved it.

Saturday I went to lunch for my cousin's birthday then came home and read my book on the porch. The weather was perfect on Saturday.

We watched Saving Mr. Banks that night.

I had to beg Theo to watch it with me but we both really liked it. Although it was very different than what I thought it was going to be like. It's not a kids movie at all. I wished it had been more about the back story for Disney but it mainly focused on PL Travers life and where Mary Poppins came from. I later on read that the story isn't 100% factual and that Walt Disney was a jerk to PL Travers and that she never ended up liking the actual Mary Poppins movie. Who knows. It's worth watching though.

Theos' going to KILL ME for posting this but how could I not?! I found them like this as I was getting ready for bed. That dog is spoiled rotten and we wouldn't have it any other way.

Sunday we went to Try Sports and got ourselves some new kicks. The only tennis shoes I own are my nasty work ones that I'm sure are covered in patient's bodily fluids. I walked on the treadmill and got told exactly what I knew, I over pronate and then tried on a bunch of different shoes. I'm not a runner and don't plan on starting anytime soon I just needed a good pair of shoes that aren't nasty from work and that I can wear if I go walking. Plus I'm doing the bridge run in a few weeks and need some good shoes to get me through those 6 miles.
I decided on the Brooks Pureflow 3. I liked the colors and they have great support.

I'll leave you with this great quote
