Dinner and a Movie

DINNER
We picked up Aidells new Chicken Meatballs at Publix this past weekend. The Aidells lady had them all out to sample and they are super delicious. Low cal, all natural, and good. Theo wanted to try spaghetti squash in place of pasta so on his own he researched and found us Food Babe's recipe to try. Since we already had the meatballs, this was one easy dinner. We had never had spaghetti squash in the place of actual spaghetti before but you really could not tell a difference. In fact, I think I prefer this over pasta because it doesn't leave you in a bloated, carb coma.

We loved all the meatball flavors, but decided to try the Teriyaki Pineapple first. You really can't go wrong with any of them.

{Chicken Meatballs with Spaghetti Squash}
adapted from Food Babe

Ingredients

1 spaghetti squash
1 package of Aidell's Chicken Meatballs
1 jar of your favorite organic tomato sauce
parmesan cheese for topping

Recipe

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Slice spaghetti squash in half and remove all seeds with spoon.
Place spaghetti squash face down on large baking sheet, add 1/2 cup of water and cover with tin foil.
Bake spaghetti squash for 45 minutes.
Once squash is done baking, remove from oven and scrape the insides out. It will look like yellow spaghetti, place in a bowl.
Leave the oven on, place the meatballs in a pan and warm in the oven for 8-10 minutes. They are already cooked just need to be heated throughout.
Place a large pot on the stove, turn on medium heat and add the meatballs, the jar of tomato sauce, and spaghetti squash.
Stir to combine evenly and serve once everything is warm to your liking.

I'm not a food photographer so I apologize for this horrible picture. Just know it tasted delicious and the meatballs are out of this world good.

MOVIE

Don't let the poster fool you, this movie isn't foreign so I have no clue why everything is written in another language on the poster?! Anyways, you can always count on Netflix for random movies no one has heard of with awesome actors. This is one of them. This movie is about temptations in a marriage. It's called Last Night because everything takes place in one night. It was pretty good. Only 90 minutes which is a major plus in my book and kept me entertained too. Check it out if you have Netflix.

  9. It's been a while since I made dinner with spaghetti squash. I sometimes give up on it because it can be such a mess in the kitchen. I microwave it and it always seems to get everywhere when I'm spooning out the guts and forking the noodles! But, I do love it, so maybe I'll have to risk the mess and give this recipe a try!
