Friday Randoms

by Ally Harding, 5:00 AM
Happy Friday! I'm so happy to be done with work for the week. I worked a slightly different schedule this week and when you're used to your normal 3 days and being done with work Wednesday and then it all changes, it screws you up! Hence the lack of a post yesterday. I know I shouldn't complain I only work 3 shifts a week. :p

The weekend forecast looks like this

Cold, wet rain allll weekend. What happened to our 78 degrees and sunny skies??! I really feel bad for my coworker who's getting married on Saturday, outside of course. You think April is a great month to get married because of the *usually* good weather and then this happens.

Nikki from It Fitz Jewelry, who designed the jewelry for my wedding contacted me about a new line she just recently bought. It's called Templeton Silver. She makes and sells sterling silver and beaded pacifier clips that turn into a keepsake bracelet for the mom after the baby outgrows the pacifier.
Pretty genius if you ask me. What's also awesome is since they're made from silver they're naturally antimicrobial and have 85% less bacteria than the leading pacifier clip. They would a great baby shower gift. They've even been gifted to celebrities and are sold in 70-80 boutiques in the southeast.
There's even clips made for your favorite teams colors

Nikki is awesome to work with. So I'm sure if you or someone you know is looking for a specific design she could do it. The best part is Nikki's is currently offering 20% off with code AAHLIFEASIKNOWIT

For the past few years I've been using Costco's shampoo. It's safe for color treated hair, sulfiite free, and vegan?. Not sure how shampoo can be vegan but anyways. So I decided it was time for a change and headed to Target to find myself some nice shampoo and conditioner. They had Fredric Fekkai on sale for buy one get one half off and not one to pass up on a sale I decided to check them out. So I googled the different types of shampoo they had. I have super oily hair at the scalp and have to wash my hair daily unless I use dry shampoo. The Shea Butter shampoo and conditioner appeared to have the best reviews so I went with it. I came home and washed my hair and wowzers. My hair had no frizz, it was super soft, and I didn't even have to flat iron it. The best part is I don't have to wash my hair as often. I'm currently on day 2 of unwashed hair and all I needed was a little dry shampoo to soak up some greasiness. I never thought I could go this long without washing my hair.

I'm hooked!

I'm really loving this Soft Joie Kaleisa Dress. It's so versatile depending on the shoes you wear. Even with the 25% off with the Shopbop sale I still can't justify the price.

I love the back

Luckily the weather looks slightly better for Easter Sunday. Easter egg hunts just aren't as fun in the rain!

  12. I'm so sorry your weekend forecast sucks! We really haven't seen much of spring yet in the midwest, but this weekend is actually looking to be decent here, finally. I feel sad for your co-worker getting married! I'm sure they'll still manage to have a wonderful time though,

  19. Love that jewelry, what a beautiful idea! Also, good to know about that shampoo. I also have oily hair that I wash daily. It it sulfate free? Im not too picky on if it's vegan or not, but I do prefer sulfate free. Happy Easter!! Hope the weather clears up for your friend!
