Weekend

I had a fun eventful weekend. Sad it's over! This week is going to suck a$$ because guess what? Pink eye is back! I was free and clear for only 1 week before my eyes started getting red and painful again. No idea why it came back. I changed out all my eye makeup and washed all the sheets. I'm so over it and hate that I can't wear my contacts right now. I hate being a 4 eyes!!

Anyways, here was my weekend. My sister in law was in town for girl's trip to watch the Family Circle Cup tennis tournaments. I met up with them Friday night at The Shelter. I ordered the fried green tomato with pimento cheese sandwich. Delish!

The weather has been perfect lately. It's warmer but the humidity hasn't come out yet. I wore one of my favorite maxis to dinner. I got it from TJ Maxx last summer but it's also available in blue and white at Saks and Vince.com. It feels thick like sweater material but it's actually cotton so it's machine washable, major plus.

Saturday morning was the Cooper River Bridge Run. We were downtown by 5:45am. It was so peaceful walking on East Bay Street at the time of the morning.

I walked it with my good friend Tiffany and her husband Brandon ran it.

It was my first time doing the race so it was really neat to see the bridge from that angle. It was a long walk, 6.2 miles and I was more than exhausted when it was over but I really did enjoy. You start in Mt. Pleasant by Shem Creek and end at Marion Square but also walk both sides of King St.

We headed to T Bonz when it was done and had a celebratory drink. Then I came home and passed out.

That night we went over to our friends' house and ate dinner and played giant Jenga. It's a ton of fun but watch out when it comes tumbling down. It could seriously hurt someone!

How was your weekend?

  9. congrats on the conquering the bridge! I had pink once right before I left the country and I went to my eye doctor who gave me a (very painful) in office eye treatment that cleared up the pink eye almost immediately. you won't be able to drive after wards but it will seriously kick it to the curb.

  11. That giant jenga looks like so much fun. We used to play a (normal sized) drinking game jenga where we'd write on the blocks and whichever one you pulled you had to drink that many or do whatever it said. I miss those days!
