Weekend

by Ally Harding, 5:00 AM
I swear sometimes I write these posts and can't believe I'm already writing another one. I feel like I just did a weekend post and it's already time for a new one. Time goes by way too fast. Especially the weekend.

Friday Theo and I had a date night and went to eat pizza at our favorite spot, EVO in Park Circle and then went to Madra Rua for a drink and dessert.

Madra Rua has Cathead Vodka which I guess is a new brand and I'm seeing it everywhere lately. It's from Mississippi but getting pretty big here in SC. Anyways, so they have a drink called a Cathead Mule and it's just like a Moscow Mule except with Cathead Pecan vodka. It's so good and if you love ginger beer you'll love this twist on a typical Moscow Mule. I'm definitely going to be trying to recreate this at home.

Saturday was perfect weather in Charleston. It was 80 degrees and zero humidity. I kept saying if our summers were like this I would actually enjoy living here! Just wait till August though.

I met my friend Heather and her husband downtown at Tabbuli for lunch. I'm sure you can guess by the name but it's a Greek restaurant but very modern. The whole restaurant is located outside which was perfect for the awesome weather. I got the Gyro Benedict. Ah-mazing.

Instead of being on a English muffin it was on fresh pita bread. It had lamb, poached eggs, spinach, and hollandaise. They also had $12 bottomless mimosas. And I can say they were in fact bottomless because I don't think I saw the bottom of my glass once, except when I told her "Enough! I can't stay here all day lady!"

After lunch we headed to The Rooftop at Vendue Inn for another drink.

It's a must stop place if you visit Charleston. You can see most of downtown from pretty much anywhere you're sitting. I finally got to wear my new favorite maxi. It's the Joie Brock maxi and it's the most comfortable maxi I've ever owned. It's so soft and feels like you're wearing your pj's. It's a bit see through at the bottom so I wore a slip. It's on sale at 6pm.com in Heather Grey and Caviar (black).

I finally had a Sunday off from work so I told Theo we're going to Second Sunday and that's final because who know's when we'll get to go again. Second Sunday is when King St. is blocked off and you're able to walk the streets. There's tons of dogs everywhere so of course we brought Pixie. We got there pretty early and were able to get a seat in the shade at Boone's Bar.

I've never seen King St. so crowded.

Cait met us out so after lunch of course we got our shopping on.

What's in the bag you ask??

The J. Crew beach cover up I've been dying over! They had it not only on sale but an additional 40% off the sale price!

I looked online and sadly it's still full price. How can they do that?! It's so adorable and I can't wait to wear it when summer comes. It fits true so size, I'm wearing a small.

How was everyone else's weekend?! Hopefully you had some nice weather too!
