Life Lately + Giveaway winner!

by Ally Harding, 5:00 AM

Sunday we went to the beach for the first time this year. Pixie absolutely loves the beach. I don't know if it's the lab in her or the poodle but that girl loves to swim.

She looks like such a wet rat when she's wet!

After the beach we headed to Red's on Bohicket for some lunch. It's right before Seabrook Island. It was our first time going to that Red's but it's a very different vibe from Shem Creek. Much more calmer and definitely an older crowd. It was kind of nice for a change.

Our friend Preston's puppy Brinkley is just too precious. She has the cutest little personality and is so spunky. I swear golden retriever puppies are the cutest.

Is there anything cuter than a puppy?!

As much as I love my Cuyana tote, I've been using it for 6 months which for me is a looonngg time to use a purse. I usually switch at least every few weeks so I was ready for a change. Something I could wear on my shoulder and as a cross body. I ended up getting the Old Navy Bucket Bag. Old Navy has really stepped up their game. It looks like real leather and looks much more expensive than it was. In fact I got mine from the ON outlet and it was $5 less than at the actual store. It's the perfect summer bag.

My new favorite blouse is the Joie Divitri blouse. I had been stalking it online for months waiting for it to go on sale. It's just way too expensive at full price. Saks had their Friends and Family sale a few weeks ago and the blouse was part of it so I snatched it up. It's such a gorgeous blouse in person. I wore it for Mother's Day brunch last Sunday with white jeans but also plan to wear it with jean shorts.

It also comes in white

I've been buying Ezekiel bread instead of normal wheat bread lately. I bought it awhile back but would just buy it here and there. Now I've got Theo loving it too. Ezekiel bread is so awesome because it's about the purest of bread you're going to get. It has zero flour in it and it's made from beans and grains. It all natural which means no preservatives so it comes frozen and you have to keep it in the refrigerator. It's a bit more expensive than normal bread but it tastes better, keeps you full longer, and you know you aren't putting any nasty chemicals in your body.  If you haven't tried it yet you need to. I love it with mushed avocado on top. Delish!

Homemade pizzas have become our Sunday night ritual. I could eat pizza every night, and probably for breakfast and lunch too! We don't use a recipe just kind of throw whatever we have lying around on the pizza. A mix of different cheeses, some sort of sausage, and veggies. We buy the premade dough from Publix but I've heard Trader Joe's has yummy ones.

And the giveaway winner is!!:::drumroll:::

  8. I love that bag! I've been just carrying my Stella & Dot Tech Wallet instead of a purse recently - summer time just makes me not want to carry a purse - to be as free as possible.

  16. Give me that puppy! You are so right about the Ezekiel bread. At first I was indifferent to it, but it is much more filling than regular or low cal bread. Love that blouse too!

  18. I keep wanting to try the Ezekiel bread, but I'm a total bread and toast lover, so I'm afraid I wont like it. I have been reading a bunch of stuff about all the crap they put in bread lately, so I think I'll give it a try.
