Life Lately

by Ally Harding, 5:00 AM
This work week is kicking my a$$. Working three 12+ hour shifts in a row isn't easy but enough about that. The weekend is here and I've never more happy to see those 2 days!

In honor of the upcoming weekend let's relive last weekend:
Saturday we went with some friends to the Charleston Tea Plantation's First Flush Festival. In case you have no clue what First Flush means, because who does?, it's something about the Tea Plantation's first batch of tea made this year so to celebrate they have an all day music festival. The Avett Brothers played this year and it was packed. Much more crowded than last year. We're hoping it gets bigger and bigger every year and becomes a huge festival like Coachella. Yeah, that's wishful thinking, Charleston's only so big.

Lots of sweet tea and vodka was consumed that day.

Remember that grilled corn recipe I posted about last Friday? Well, we made it and it was delicious. I only want my corn grilled from now on.

Sunday was my little brother's birthday so we had a party for him/ Memorial Day cookout with my fam.

John's Peanut Butter Cup birthday cake that I made. I may not win a baking contest with presentation alone but it tasted fabulous.

I'm hoping the beach is in our future this weekend and definitely catching up on some sleep. Hope you have a great weekend as well!
