Tailgate Appetizers

I couldn't care less about football. Unfortunately for me it's my husband's life. We've been together for almost 9 years and I still don't pay attention to the game. It's just not in my blood what can I say. The one thing I do look forward to with football season is obviously the cooler weather, boots, jeans, sweaters, but also the food. Tailgates always have the yummiest food. I like to make my old faithful Pizza Dip or Buffalo Chicken Dip which are always crowd pleasers, but this year I decided to switch it up and try something new. Theo's having his Fantasy Football Draft this weekend at our house so I decided to make a few appetizers for he and the guys and then skedaddle out of there because boys drinking all day and yelling sounds like hell to me!

This has MAN all over it. I mean hot sausage, cheese, hot green chiles, and Fritos? Honestly, I think it looks pretty good too.

What man doesn't like brats? Brats and beer go together like peas and carrots. This will be easy for Theo's Fantasy Football Draft Party, I can throw everything into the crock pot and they'll be ready in 3 hours. Done and Done.

How freakin cute are these?! I like that they give them a spin on normal deviled eggs and add in mango chutney.

This calls for any type of beer, cheese, and ranch salad dressing mix. How much easier can you get?! I like that you use pretzels to dip with, you know cause they're a bit healthier than potato chips.

I've actually made these Honey Bars a few times and trust me, they're really really good. They're the perfect amount of sweetness and the glaze you put on top is out of this world. They're very easy to make too. I'll definitely be whipping up a batch of these up this weekend!

So these are some ideas for Theo's Fantasy Football Draft Party and other tailgates in the future. Any other recipes you think the guys would love? I think I've got to make the deviled eggs just for the cute football design!

  1. Oh my gosh, if I tell Steve you're making this stuff he might crash the fantasy football draft. haha! That hot sausage dip sounds so delicious and I'm always a big fan of festive looking food like those deviled eggs! Unless the Gators or Steelers are on, I'm more about the food too. :) Thanks for linking up!
