Friday Round Up

by Ally- Life as I know it, 7:00 AM

Happy Friday! I'm on call tonight so let's just forget about anything fun happening. Tomorrow I'm heading to Raleigh for a family wedding. Then Sunday is operation clean up our garage. For two people who didn't have a ton of stuff moving into our house, we sure have accumulated a bunch of junk in our garage. We want to eventually make it a "Man Cave" so we've got a lot of work to do, but cleaning it up is the first step.

~Last weekend I went to dinner at Prohibition and it was so yummy. Their Capone Burger with Gouda Grits were out of this world.

~Since I'm taking part in East Coast Chic's 30 Closet Remix I wore an outfit I already owned. Not being able to shop obviously blows, but it has been fun coming up with different outfits from the clothes in my closet.
Excuse my dirty mirror!

~Tuesday I went to a blogger meet up at Moon and Lola. It was fun hanging out with my blog friends turned real life friends and meeting other Charleston bloggers.

~The dry brush I ordered came in this week and I never thought I'd ever say this but I'm really enjoying brushing my skin everyday. I know it sounds so weird but it's good for circulation, reduces cellulite, stimulates your lymphatic system to release toxins, and is a stress reliever. You can brush your skin twice a day, brushing towards your heart. Give it a try, if anything it's relaxing!

~I got hooked on two new white wines this week. Kiwi Cuvee was recommended to me at Total Wine but every single time I went to buy it they were out. I finally found a bottle and snatched it up. I think it may of taken the place of my beloved Cupcake! Also, a friend brought over a bottle of Pouilly-Fuisse this past weekend and it was delicious too.

~I loved this article on 17 Things I Wish Everyone Knew About Kale. Kale is one of my favorite things to eat, along with peanut butter chocolate milkshakes and pizza. Now that would be a good last meal! I think everyone should be eating, drinking, or juicing kale. I've gotten my mom, step dad, husband, and dog (that's a joke, she'll eat anything) to eat more kale. Most Americans only eat 2-3 cups of kale A YEAR! How many cups of chips do you think Americans eat a year...

Have a good weekend!

  13. I'm actually super sad we didn't get to Prohibition when I was in Charleston in May. Also, I definitely need to do a closet remix. I went crazy shopping this month and I'm going on a spending freeze in October. Jealous of that meet up at Moon & Lola! xo
