Friday Round Up

by Ally- Life as I know it, 5:00 AM
This week has been wonderful. We had temperatures in the 60's some days and even the days in the 70's felt great. I just love being able to wear jeans and long sleeve shirts again. We won't be pulling out our heavy duty jackets and thick sweaters any time soon but to be able to walk out of my house and not step into a sauna right after is nice. Wednesday was Theo's birthday so tonight we're celebrating with our family at EVO Pizza. Not sure what else the weekend holds, maybe some pumpkin carving, hopefully some garage organizing, I'm just happy it's here.

~I finally treated myself to a few things after not shopping for months. It was kind of nice because I had to think long and hard about what I wanted. Gone are the days of impulse buying. I've had to shop within my closet since May and it's really made me realize what kind of clothes I wear a lot and what stuff is wasting away in my closet. I knew I wanted a pair of low heel booties to wear with everything so I added this Sam Edelman pair to my wardrobe.

I also love the J. Crew swing sweaters and took advantage of their sale this week.

~I can't get over how awesome Blake looks preggers. I mean she may be the most gorgeous pregnant woman I've ever seen. She and Ryan make me sick but I still love them and wish I could be reincarnated as their baby.

~You have no idea how happy I am that the Chrisley's are back on TV! There's nothing on TV right now I like, no Housewives to watch and NJ sucks this year, so my Tuesday nights just got better! Along with Chrisley Knows Best, Manzo'd with Children is on too (love me some Albie). Yes I know these shows have no substance and are "making me dumber by the minute"-Theo but they're so entertaining. I'm just sad I didn't spy Todd Chrisley last weekend when I was in Atlanta.

~ My sister in law made these pumpkins for my brother in law's party last weekend and now I want to have a few for my porch as well. They were so easy to make, carve a hole in the top of the pumpkin, then stick in a candle in it and voile, instant fall decor. My only issue is pumpkins don't do so well here in Charleston and it only takes days till bugs are living in your pumpkin and it starts growing furry things. I'm hoping if I add the hurricane lamps it'll prevent all that yucky stuff from growing.

~I downloaded this awesome app this week called Deliciously Ella. The app was made by a young girl named Ella who was diagnosed with a rare autonomic nervous system syndrome called Postural Tachycardia Syndrome, in laymans terms: her heart raced every time she stood up, she was always exhausted, had chronic stomachaches, and headaches. One day she decided to research a more natural way to get rid of her symptoms so she cut out dairy, gluten, sugar, meat, and anything processed. It worked and she's been off her meds for over a year. She's also written tons of healthy recipes like her Sweet Potato Brownies and also made an app of all her recipes. The app is basically a cookbook for only $5. I can't wait to try out some of her recipes. I've already made her Chia Seed Pudding a few mornings this week. You can check our her blog here.

Have a fun weekend!
