Weekend

It's craziness that Thanksgiving is this week! Where has this year gone?! We're heading out of town for Thanksgiving so I was able to get a lot done this weekend in preparation for that. I say a lot done, what I really mean is I washed a lot of clothes and now I have a lot to put up. It's the putting up part that I despise. Anyways here's what we did this weekend:

Friday we went to see The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1 at Cinebarre. It was pretty good I thought. I was able to eat and drink while watching a movie so that always makes for a good time.

Saturday I whipped up a delicious Jalapeno Beer Cheddar Soup for Theo and his friends while they watched the USC game. I'm going to post the recipe tomorrow because I did end up changing it some. It was seriously good.

I busted out the Canadian Tuxedo with a touch of leopard.

That night we had a fire in our fire pit. We sipped on some beer and ate some homemade pizzas.

I made a Butternut Squash, Goat Cheese, and Kale pizza. It had so much flavor and the butternut squash tasted so yummy and sweet. It was pretty amazing.

I  wrapped some Christmas gifts for our niece and nephews on Sunday. All that's missing is the tree to put them under!

We ended the weekend at my parent's house for our weekly Sunday night dinner. My mom always makes the main entree and I always make us a salad. Usually it's a kale salad because what's better than kale, um nothing, so this week I made Ina Garten's Winter Slaw from her new cookbook. It reminded me a lot of the kale salad mix from Costco. It went perfect with our lasagna.

Yay for the short week this week! Just gotta make it through the next 2 days.
