Goals for 2015

I think it's always a good idea to set goals for the coming year not resolutions. A resolution is a firm decision to do something where as a goal is the result or achievement toward which effort is directed. So I prefer goals. I was reading my Goals for 2014 and my goals for 2015 aren't that different. That means either I didn't accomplish them or want to keep doing them, we'll go with the latter!


1. Eat Healthier

This is one I aspire to do daily so starting January 1st nothing is really going to change. Although I do want to cut out more cheese out of my diet. I've discovered cheese is the cause of acne for me, unfortunately because I love cheese. I also want to stop eating as much gluten and other processed foods. Expect some Paleo type recipes this coming year!



2. Workout More

Isn't this on everyone's lists? And this will forever be on my list because I hate working out!!



3. Clean House 

I get lazy and laundry tends to sit in the drier for days and I know I need to get better about it. Ugh I hate putting laundry up, why can't it be as easy as putting the clothes in the washing machine?! 



4. Slow down my shopping

I've gotten A LOT better with my shopping, thanks to Theo taking control of our finances but I still have a long way to go. But on the flip side he needs to realize girl's gotta shop every now and then. I swear if it was up to him I would never buy a thing ever again!


5. Appreciate each day like it's my last

No one is guaranteed tomorrow and I know I need to stop worrying so much about the petty stuff. I'm so thankful for all that I have and have accomplished in life. I have a beautiful home, a sweet yet crazy dog, a secure job, and a husband who has tons of patience with me. What more could I need?

  4. I decided last year I'm no longer setting resolutions because I never actually do them but goals are a much better option! I need to eat healthier this year too... I've been SO bad lately! And I definitely agree with your last goal! I need to do that one too!

  5. I love your goals! Not shopping is the biggest one for me. DG is being more involved in our finances for 2015, and he was shocked when he saw how much I shopped. I was mortified because... I kinda didn't either. So, that's my biggest priority! xoxo

  10. Our goals are pretty similar! I'm right there with ya about the laundry! Ours will sit folded on the couch for days, until we inevitably transfer it to the chair in our bedroom...and then (sometimes weeks later) into the dressers, closet, haha!

  11. Oh, and also meant to mention...along the lines with your appreciation goal, I'm planning to start a gratitude journal and write down at least one thing I'm thankful for every day!
