My Favorite Costco Buys: Non food items

I did a post awhile back about My Favorite Costco Buys: Food so this time I decided to do post on my favorite non food Costco items. Like I said before we shop at Costco a lot and tend to buy almost everything from there. I've heard a lot of people say recently that they've been buying stuff from Amazon rather than Costco so I'm curious if you're getting a better deal. I'll be honest, I love browsing Costco as much as I love shopping there so I don't think I could give that up!

Detergent: Whether you choose to buy Environmentally friendly, organic, or regular detergent Costco's got it. They run $12-$15 which isn't bad at all since you get a 200 washes out of it.

Paper Products: I love being able to stock up on paper towels, toilet paper, and napkins when I go to Costco. We go through a lot of paper towels so it's nice to always have some rolls waiting to be used. The toilet paper is thick so you don't have a use ton when you.. well, you know. You get 12 rolls of paper towels for $18, 30 rolls of toilet paper for $19, and 4 packs of napkins for $10.

Conditioner: I love Costco brand conditioner. It's thick so it gets rid of tangles in my hair and helps to keep frizzies down. It's also vegan, gluten free, paraben free, and not tested on animals if that stuff matters to you. You get a huge bottle for $8 and it lasts a good while especially if you wash your hair every other day like I do. I also use it when I shave my legs.

Dog Bed: It's almost laughable what a great deal you get for Costco's dog beds. They're only $20 and they're very well made. Pixie loves hers and I love that I can take off the cover and wash it in the washing machine. The quality of these beds would easily cost you $60+ anywhere else but they're a steal. She's had hers for 2 years and it's still in great shape.

Cookbooks: I should of titled this any books because Costco has a lot to choose from. I like to buy my cookbooks from there and they're always a good discount from the list price. For instance I got this Ina Garten cookbook for $19, list price $35. (That's cheaper than the Amazon price of $21.)

Christmas Trees: My friends Costco has the BEST deal on trees. $28 for a 7-8 foot tree. Our tree last year was gorgeous and full and no one believed we got it for less than $30. I mean a friend of ours paid $30 from the local tree farm for a Charlie Brown tree.
Our tree last year. We're decorating this years tree tonight!

What are some of your favorite Costco non food items?

  9. Oh man, we love CostCo, and living like across the street, we are there all the time. We will definitely be getting our tree from there this weekend. I just looked back at your food post, too, and I definitely agree about the awesomeness (and cheapness) of their wine haha.

  10. I also love their paper products and always grab an extra pack of sponges whenever I'm there. Sometimes they have great kids' pajamas and my friend's Costco out west always seems to have North Face coats - lucky girl!! Most of my friends have also bought their kids' swing sets from Costco!
