Friday Round Up

by Ally- Life as I know it, 5:00 AM
Cheers to the weekend! 63 degrees and sunny on Saturday makes me happy! I think we might hit up The Barrel again this weekend if any Charleston peeps want to bring your dog and/or kids and join us! I'm going to apologize in advance but this post is going to be all about food. Pretty much all I did this week was eat!

Panera Bread has really stepped it up. We ate there before seeing American Sniper on Sunday and I got one of their new broth bowls, the Lentil Quinoa Broth Bowl. Unbelievably good you guys. I was super impressed. Whether it was or not, it tasted really fresh.

I have a strange reaction to dairy, it majorly breaks me out. I mean eat pizza one night, wake up with a zit the next. So because of this I haven't been able to eat yogurt in years, and I used to eat it multiple times a day. I came across a Goat Milk Kefir, Kefir is basically a drinkable yogurt, and wanted to see if goat's milk had the same effect. So far so good and I'm really enjoying being able to eat/drink yogurt again. Kefir has a lot of probiotics, the good bacteria you want in your stomach, plus it has a ton of protein.

We made the yummiest burgers last night. They were grass fed beef sliders with sweet potatoes as the bun. Paleo and gluten free approved! They were delicious and just the right amount of burger that I didn't feel like I was going to bust afterwards but yet satisfied. I got the sweet potato as a bun recipe from here. For the burger Theo added in bacon to the beef so they were extra juicy!

I plan on making this Kale Citrus Salad this weekend. Sweet apple mixed with tart grapefruit makes my mouth water!

Our master bedroom is finally coming together. More on that on Monday! Have a great weekend!
