Friday Round Up

Sorry for the lack of blog posts this week but it's been a whirlwind of a week. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around what happened. Last Thursday my co worker was killed on her way home from work by a driver driving the wrong way down the road. It's just so surreal because I was just with her 20 minutes before it all happened. She was a wonderful person and my heart aches for her family. It's so much harder to mourn the loss of someone when they die suddenly and you never get to say goodbye. One thing I've learned through all of this is life doesn't make sense sometimes and you never know when you're time is up so be thankful for every single day. One top of my co worker passing I know I mentioned our struggles at work with being short staffed. Obviously it's now worse and I'm trying to remain positive through it all and know it will get better but it's so hard. One thing I hate is that I haven't been able to blog like I used to. I really do miss it and it's very therapeutic to me. I've got some really exciting plans coming up that I can't wait to share so I just have to keep my head up and keep thinking about the future. It's just been really hard. I don't think I've cried so much in my life this past week, I'm tearing up typing this. Ok I'm done. On to more positive things!

~Theo and I watched the coolest show this week on Netflix. It's called Bloodline. It's about a family down in Key West celebrating the anniversary of their parents hotel. You can tell the show is really going to be about the dynamic between the 4 children in the family. In the first episode they show you what's going to happen in the end so I think the show is going to be more about leading up to why it happened. I'm a sucker for shows that have a lot of kids in the family. Probably because it was just my brother and I always wished I had a lot of siblings.

~Thanks to Katie I picked up a box of this cookie mix from Target this week. 

They're from the bakery Momofuku Milk Bar in NYC. Although the cookies didn't look too pretty, that's why there's no picture, they were really delicious. In fact I made 18 cookies and after 5 minutes between the 7 of us in my family the cookies were all gone. 

~The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season finale was this week and it just plain sucked. This whole season has sucked. What did you think? I'm really looking forward to NY and Bethenny being back. She can be super annoying at times but I always liked her honesty on the show. 

~I really want a new bag for summer and I want it to have fringe. I also want to downsize from carrying my Cuyana tote and stop knocking people and chairs down left and right. I like this bucket bag from Madewell but it looks like it might be hard to get stuff out of it really quickly.

I love the design on this bag and that it has a shorter strap as well. I think it would be a great bag to carry me through the fall too.

I've always wanted a MAC bag and of course I love the fringe on this one. I like the boho vibe it has.
