Weekly Obsessions: Day Dresses

With spring and summer quickly approaching I always like to go through my closet and figure out what I don't need anymore, but more importantly what I need more of. I'm not the kind of person who has to buy a whole new wardrobe for every season, but I do like to have a pretty good selection of maxi dresses and tops I can rotate through. One thing I noticed my closet was missing was day dresses. Not long like maxi dresses but short, cute, casual dresses you can throw on with a pair of sandals and be out the door. 

I've never bought anything from ASOS (is it pronounced A-SOS or A.S.O.S? Does anyone know??) but after looking through their great priced clothes, I think I may be real soon.


This is exactly what I'm looking for and you guys it's $32! Unfortunately they don't have it in my size or I'd snatch it up. 



Reclaimed Vintage Dress
I really like the bright colors in this dress and the back has a cool V shape. 



This would be so cute with a colorful statement necklace and the fact that it's a swing dress and striped means it needs to be in my closet pronto.



Perfect bright, colorful day dress for summer. It looks like it has pockets too. It's on sale now but knowing how Loft is with their crazy sales, I bet it'll be cheaper in a week or so.



I have a sleeveless tunic dress similar to this that I wore all the time last year. I love these kind of dresses because they aren't tight so you don't have to worry about your stomach situation and you can dress them up or down depending on your shoes and jewelry.



I got a coupon in the mail for Piperlime over the weekend for 40% off. I got so excited, I haven't bought anything in a while. Then I read through the list of I swear 200 brands that aren't included in the deal and realized only their brand is. It's like instead of saying what isn't included, just say what is. It would save a lot of space. Anyways, I came across this dress and thought it was so cute and I like how it's cinched at the waist so it could be casual too. I can't decide to get this dress or go with a maxi dress I love too. 

What do you guys think? Maxi or short dress? The maxi is dirt cheap especially with my coupon. If it was up to me I'd get both!

    The white dress I posted on Monday was the first thing I've ordered from Asos (A-sos), and it was great quality! I know their sizes can be a little off sometimes, but the prices are so good!

    I haven't ordered anything from ASOS yet but I've got my eye on a couple of their dresses for wedding season! I like that they offer free shipping both ways.

    It's apparently pronounced a-sauce. Found that out last year from a friend who works in retail. I love their stuff. I bought a few maternity dresses from them and I love the way they fit. I need to check them out again for some cute summer stuff. Love that factory tunic dress. I might need to add that to my wishlist. The piperlime 40% off coupon was such a tease!!
