Non Maternity/Maternity Clothes + A Blog Sale

by Ally- Life as I know it, 5:00 AM
Good morning! How was everyone's weekend? Ours was great, can't complain. Not happy about Monday but it is what it is. I hit up Old Navy on Saturday to check out their new summer clothes. I rarely go to Old Navy, like maybe once a year, but they've really stepped it up. Especially in the dress department. With my belly growing over the summer I know I'm just going to want to live in dresses but I don't want to spend a ton of money. They had some great dresses to wear with or without a bump. Right now Old Navy has everything online 25% off with code SUPERSAVE.

This dress came with a belt to wear around your waist but I can't stand those so I ditched it. Even in a size small it fits me now and has plenty of room in the front so I think it'll work great later on when I get bigger too.

This dress was on sale for $10 this weekend! Insane because, aside from the wrinkles, it looks a lot more expensive than even the normal $30 price. The dress comes in other colors but I just really loved the bright red. I ended up getting a medium since I'm tall I didn't want it to be too short. Just like the chambray dress it works great now, but will also work later on in my pregnancy.

Some other dresses I wanted to try on but they didn't have in my store.
I caved in and bought a pair of maternity shorts but the best part is, because of the side panel I can wear them now since I'm not really showing. I read this blog post about the best maternity style pants to buy and it said side panel for sure so I'm happy I found a pair of these shorts in my size. They're so comfortable and are perfect for the after meal bump that magically appears in minutes. I think they ran on the big side, I got a size 2. (I never wear a size 2)

I think I might order these shorts too and see if I like them. I like the distressed look they have.

These are on sale for $15 but they're out of my size. If they have your size left snatch them up because that's a great deal!

I did a mini closet clean this weekend and came across a few things I've either worn once or have never worn. My motto is if I haven't worn it in a year then it's got to go. Email me at allysonaharding@gmail.com with any questions. Shipping will be flat rate $5.

 J. Crew Top

$25

Madewell Top

This looks really cute with white jeans!

French Connection One Shoulder Dress

I wore this once for my Bridal Shower. It is on the short side so I wore it with leggings.

Joie Striped Silk Dress
Size Medium
$25
You can see in the pictures there is a small oil stain and on the back there's a rip in the seam. It would be an easy fix.

J. Crew Factory Pink Top NWT
Size 2

Fits like a size 4. It is see through so you would need a cami underneath.

French Connection Floral Silk Shorts NWT
Size 6 (Fits like a size 4)
$40
Very cute shorts but ran a little on the small side for me. They have 2 clasps in the front and a zipper.  Also has 2 side pockets and 2 back pockets.

Kate Spade Small Cross Body Bag
$15
There's a few of what looks like to be pen marks on the front of the bag and one on the inside.

Sangria Dress
Size 4 Petite (Fits like a normal size 4)
$30
I wore this once to a wedding. Very figure flattering.

  1. Love that chambray dress you found! And I have that poplin shift dress and it's so comfy, it just wrinkles really easily. Love your ON finds and glad you were able to find some non-maternity things that you can still where when the bump starts getting bigger!

  6. I have the same rule for my closet! Have you ever tried selling clothes on the poshmark app? It's really simple, and I've had a lot of success selling old clothes/shoes/handbags/accessories on there. They take 20%, but I've still made good money selling stuff that would have otherwise just gone to goodwill. If you aren't already on there and you sign up follow me (jaclynlarisa) and I'll share your listings for you. xxx

  13. Wow, I have never even heard of side panel maternity wear. However the front panel is terrible (at least for jeans). I always wore dresses or maternity leggings. I thought it would be a great idea to just buy a "bigger" pair of pants and unfortunately you can't really do that haha. I mainly wore tunics that weren't maternity tops. I did get the cutest maternity LBD from ASOS though. Check out their site you can find good sales on the maternity stuff sometimes. xo
