Friday Round Up

by Ally- Life as I know it, 5:00 AM
This week has been exhausting. I had to pick up a few extra shifts at work because we're still short staffed, but it's getting better just takes time, atleast that's what I keep reminding myself! Plus pregnancy just leaves you exhausted at the end of the day. I literally come home from work, eat, then head to bed no time for anything else. So I'm definitely looking forward to a relaxing weekend!

I think I'm finally set with maternity shorts for the summer. I ordered a pair of white Old Navy shorts and just like the other two I have they're so comfy and really cute. I get so many compliments on them and then have to laugh when I show them the side panels!

My skin doesn't seem to be calming down anytime soon so I researched and researched safe acne skin care for pregnancy and came across Eminence Skin Care. So far it seems to be working miracles. My acne is clearing up and I think it's keeping new acne away. I'm still waiting on this wonderful pregnancy skin glow though! The line is all natural, organic and smells so good. I'm currently using the Clear Skin Probiotic Line.

I'm obsessed with the Mumford and Sons song The Wolf. At first I thought it was so mainstream sounding and not like them at all but now I love it. In fact I love everything I'm hearing off of their new CD. They're such an awesome band.

Now that I'm over feeling sick all the time, Theo started buying our favorite dark chocolate again. And it's a total coincidence the name of the brand is Theo! We eat a piece every night after dinner and it really settles your dessert cravings. Dark chocolate is so good for your heart plus I read it can help prevent pre eclampsia. Don't want any of that so I'll keep eating my dark chocolate! You can buy it from Earth Fare or Whole Foods.

Do you moms ever read I Google way too much and come across the site often. The article 10 Pieces of Pregnancy Advice for First Time Moms was seriously written for me. I mean #1 Get Off Google, uh too late. #5 Cool it on the carbs. I don't think going through a whole loaf of bread in 3 days is normal, right? But it's for the baby! ;)

I really am trying to eat more veggies and less carbs. The salads just have to be full of a lot of yumminess. I'm drooling over this Harvest Cobb Salad from Damn Delicious

So I was thinking about ordering this tankini for the summer. I know I can wear my normal two pieces but TMI I'm so pale and veiny thanks to crazy hormones I'd rather be covered up.

Well I was all set on ordering it till I saw "Unpadded Cups". WHAT?! Who doesn't put pads in their cups anymore? Especially for pregnant women with huge boobs and don't get me started on the nipples. If you have any maternity swimwear recommendations send them this way please!

Have a great weekend!

  7. I say pick a one piece swimsuit and go up a size! Glad you found some shorts that you like, maternity clothes can be really tough to find. For some reason I felt like the side panel jeans weren't going to stay up, but the shorts must be better!
