Life Lately

This weekend went by way too fast but luckily I have a 4 day weekend coming up so I think I'll survive!

Does anyone else think Orange is the New Black is so boring this season? I don't think we're going to get through it. I want to just to see what happens but it's kind of torturous. Sometimes I think shows should just stop at 1 or 2 seasons because they run out of material.

I ordered my diaper bag this week and I know it's kind of early since the baby won't be here till October but I found such a great deal on Amazon. The Perry Mackin Harper Tote had such great reviews on Nordstrom that I immediately knew it was the bag I wanted. Luckily I found it on Amazon for $100 off the list price, insane!

We saw Jurassic World the other weekend and both really liked it. I know it's had some mixed reviews but overall I thought it was pretty good. We did see it in 3-D and I didn't think that was worth it. If I see something in 3-D I want things to pop out at me. Isn't that the whole point of 3-D? They could of done so much with the dinosaurs coming out of the screen but they didn't. I actually forgot I even had 3-D glasses on half the time, it made no difference.

Now that I've really popped I'm so over trying to find something to wear. 2 of the 3 maternity shorts I bought are too small already. My stomach does not like anything constricting it. I think dresses are going to be my BFF for the rest of the summer. I picked up a couple of dresses at Old Navy this weekend that fingers crossed will last me all summer. I'm so over wasting money on maternity clothes that I just went with normal dresses.

We had a really delicious Italian dinner at Fratello's in Park Circle on Saturday. Theo and I go to that area of town a lot but have yet to eat at Fratello's. It was so good and it's such a cute little restaurant. I went with the Lasagna and a big slice of cheesecake for dessert. If I can't drink with everyone else then I guess dessert will do. ;)

This cute girl got her haircut this week. It's like pulling teeth trying to get her to pose for the camera, as soon as I pull my phone out she looks the other way. I mean how does she even know?!

  1. OITNB IS boring this season! I've heard a lot of others say the same. It's lost a lot of its edge...it's a little too unrealistic that prison is that "nice". And I too feel this weekend just flew by! I'm ready for the long one!

  3. I haven't watched any of the seasons of OITNB but sometimes I think netflix just wants to pump them out so they just put anything in!! I love all your new dresses and that diaper bag was a great deal!! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

  4. Aw Pixie looks so cute!! I am only a few episodes into OITNB but I think its entertaining so far! Maybe I'm not far enough into it yet. Love those dresses on you but button-down clothes do not have any stretch and its hard to wear for long while prego, hope that 2nd dress has a little give! I squeezed into a button down shirt when I was like 8 months prego and it just looked awkward now looking back haha

  5. You have the perfect "all belly" pop going on!! My belly doesn't like anything constricting it either, even leggings bug the baby! I grabbed 3 ON dresses in Friday too, so I'm pretty sure I'm just going to wear dresses until the end of the year!

  6. I too have that linen blend dress and LOVE it! Dresses are my BFF as well and even better if I can wrangle my boobs into a regular bra (strapless ones kill me!)! And just love Pixie posing for the camera - she is such a ham!

  7. Love all of the dresses that you picked out! At least its warm and you can wear more comfortable clothing, right? I have yet to start watching OITNB, but I've heard lots of people complaining how boring this season is. It's kind of discouraging me from starting it!

  13. I really liked the most recent OITNB season, but I also only watch it while prepping dinner or doing laundry, so it doesn't get my FULL attention, thus my expectations are probably lower... Neat diaper bag - I've never seen that one!

  15. Pixie looks so cute! Love the dresses you got! Maternity clothes are so hard and so expensive. Great deal on the diaper bag! Love it!

  16. I haven't made it past the second episode of OITNB! It's definitely a snooze-fest so far! The baby may not arrive until October, but those last few months fly by! Maternity clothes are the biggest rip-offs! I bought a bunch of normal dresses and lived in those through my summer pregnancy. That really is the way to go! All of those dresses are super cute!
