My 2nd Trimester Essentials

The 2nd trimester is so great and aside from being hungry all of the time, there's not too much to complain about. You're starting to get a bump which is so exciting and you haven't started getting the fun aches and pains that come with an even bigger bump. Here's a few things that I used a ton during weeks 13-27.

Bali Comfort Revolution Bralette
Once my tatas' started to grow and grow and would get so sensitive it was really hard to sleep without a bra on. I didn't want to sleep in my normal under wire bras so I ordered this bralette to wear and it's been the best thing ever. It's so soft but offers a lot of support. I own it in the Nude color.

So I had a total love/hate relationship with this thing at first. But once I started sleeping my side fully, I learned to love it. You kind of need a body pillow once you get to 20 weeks to keep you on your side all night and this may not be the top of the line body pillow but it works. 

I wore these before I got pregnant but I think they're really important to wear if you are pregnant and if you're on your feet all day or sit all day. They say sitting is worse than standing when it comes to varicose veins. I can tell such a difference the days I don't wear these, my feet and legs will hurt after an hour at work. I always buy the open toe ones because having your toes squished in stockings is the worst. 

You can go from full to starving in seconds in the 2nd trimester and I found it's best to carry some food in your purse for those moments. I always pack a few KIND bars or Lara bars in my purse. They're healthy and give you a good bit of a calories which you need a lot of while you're growing a baby.

I wore these shorts daily. In fact these shorts and a loose fitted top were all I wore during the 2nd trimester. They were so comfortable for a growing belly. The side-panel works best for just beginning bumps but now that I'm in the 3rd trimester they don't work so well and you really need the full panel.

  4. Your spot on about going from full to starving in 3 seconds flat. I always keep a bar in my bag....I love the kind bars they sell at Starbucks (vanilla blueberry cashew is the best) and Luna bars kept me satisfied for an hour if need be!

  6. I never used one of those pregnancy pillows but I bet I would have loved it! Sore boobs are no joke!!

  7. I may need to invest in those toe-less pantyhose! I didn't know they existed!
