Week 28 Bumpdate

by Ally- Life as I know it, 5:00 AM

How Many Weeks: 28 weeks, officially 7 months pregnant and in the 3rd trimester!

Size of Baby: We had an ultrasound last week and the tech said he was measuring 2 lbs 15 oz, so almost 3 lbs.

Gender: Boy

Movement: So much. He's lying transverse so I can feel him move his little legs on my right side when I lay down, it's so wild! He moves around a lot in the morning when I wake up hungry then kicks a lot after I eat. Really cold water also gets him moving.

Sleep: I had a few weeks there where I wasn't peeing as much at night but it seems to have started again.

Maternity Clothes: I find dresses to be the most comfortable because shorts dig into my stomach too much.

Weight Gain: 16 lbs

Symptoms: Everything is really day by day. One day I'll have horrible pelvic pain and then the next day it's gone. Same for back pain. I don't know if it's the way he's laying or how he's moving. Linea Nigra has appeared. Super thirsty all the time which means I also pee all the time. My energy has been great though.

Cravings/Aversions: Just craving desserts like always!

Missing Most: I really wanted some Lemonade Vodka and water this weekend so I had sip which of course made me want it more!

Nursery: We got our crib and the mattress week. I plan on ordering the rug soon. I want to have everything done by the end of August just in case he decides to make his appearance early!

Hubby: He really is the best. I hate to be that girl who acts like everything is so perfect but I really can't complain. He's been so great about getting the baby's room ready by painting the walls and the dresser and doesn't yell at me when I get boxes full of baby clothes in the mail multiple times a week. I don't know what it is but when you say it's for the baby, it somehow makes it ok!

Best Part of the Week: We had a great doctors appointment last week. My mom was able to see the baby on ultrasound although because he's gotten so big it's really hard to make out what you're seeing. I passed my glucose test which was such a relief! I got a new car! And we finally have a crib! It's been a great week!

Can't Wait For: Getting the nursery more ready, my baby shower in August, and of course October!
