Weekend

Good Morning! Ugh is it really Monday again?! We started off the weekend at our friends Cait and Steve's house for some burgers on the grill. I brought over Katie Perks' Icebox S'mores Pie that was very good but I'll definitely make sure to leave it in the refrigerator longer than I did. I'm thinking overnight next time.

I had to go into work for a few hours on Saturday so the rest of the day was spent reading a new book, Eight Hundred Grapes, and lounging around the house. I'm not too far into the book but so far it's good!

I recreated Whole Foods' Nutty Monkey Smoothie. Their smoothie doesn't have any greens in it but I added some to mine. These are the ingredients in it. It tastes like a peanut butter and jelly smoothie.

I've started a serious obsession with buying vintage baby clothes. The prices are so good, like $10 for an outfit and that includes shipping, and everything I've gotten so far has been in excellent condition. No stains, tears, they don't even look like they were worn. I've found a lot of sellers from Instagram. The little boy has a whole wardrobe waiting for him when he arrives!

We watched the movie It Follows on Sunday at home. It's a horror movie but I didn't find it too scary, more of a thriller. It's a cool concept though, basically there's a demon that follows you around if you have sex with someone who the demon is following. The only way to get rid of the demon is to have sex with someone else and pass it to them. It's like an STD that's trying to kill you. Theo said they should show the movie in schools to kids to scare them about having sex, haha!

Other healthcare workers have you ever heard of ZDoggMD? My co worker showed me his videos one day at work and they're hysterical. ZDogg is a real doctor who has taken popular songs and made parody's about the medical field. Like "Readmission" which is to R. Kelly "Ignition" and a Taylor Swift parody of "Blank Space" called "Blank Script." I think anyone who has ever worked in a hospital will totally get them.

  1. LOL your description of It Follows is hilarious! I think I'll pass on watching it but I agree, play that for high schoolers for sure! Your pie looks delicious even if it wasn't in the freezer long enough! I'd still eat it :) Happy Monday!
