Friday Round Up

by Ally- Life as I know it, 5:00 AM
This week was spent getting everything ready for the baby's arrival. We got the car seat base installed in the car and so we don't look like total dumb asses trying to figure out how to even put the baby in the car seat, I used Wooly as my model.

I almost took him for a stroll down the road to freak my neighbors out.

We watched one really good movie, Everest, and one really, really, really weird one, The Overnight.

Go see Everest and take a big pass on The Overnight. I don't think I'll ever get those images out of my head, gross.

J. Crew Factory is having a big sale with 40-60% off on almost everything in store. I plan on going by there this weekend and checking out what they have.
I'll be on the look out for this blouse

This sweater, it reminds me of the Swing Sweater J. Crew sells

This dress that would be so cute with some booties

This turtleneck that I think would be great with leggings

And this bucket bag that would be perfect for fall

I'm still on a major sweets kick and really want to make this 4 Ingredient Butterfinger Pie

I love this Pumpkin Spice Chart that 100 Days of Real Food put together. No espresso for me so I'll be making the Hot Cocoa version.

Have a great weekend!

  9. That dress would be so cute with some booties. Stop I want all the Fall fashion and it's seriously 95 here. I'm glad you did a test run with the car seat. I used to work in labor in delivery as a nurse tech in nursing school.....you want to see couples go from zero to screaming? Try watching them get the car seat in for the first time lol. You will be pros now!

  11. Smart girl, getting ready! We were the idiots standing outside the hospital with a few staffers who'd escorted us out, cutting the tags off our car seat and trying to figure out the straps (we did have the base installed already) because Lawter came 3 weeks early and when we left for the hospital, we'd almost not brought the car seat with us because I insisted it was a false alarm and we were really having a baby! HA! Nice shopping picks, you're making me want to pick up new fall pieces, although I'm trying my hardest not to give into shopping urges, with the growing belly and all!

  13. You need to try the sugar-free CoffeeMate PS creamer! I've used the Pumpkin Spice spice before and it all settles in your cup pretty quickly which equals gross sips and not a lot of flavor. The creamer would be great in hot chocolate or tea I bet. I think Pixie needs a ride in the stroller...

  14. Ooh I love 100 Days of Real Food! I somehow missed that pumpkin spice graphic, so thank you for reposting it! You are too cute with putting the baby in the carseat! You are going to be an allstar parent! You don't know how many times I had to google how to fold my stroller while in a parking lot! Have a wonderful weekend!
