Non Maternity Maternity Wear for the Third Trimester

I did a post back when I was in the beginning of the second trimester of non maternity maternity clothes. Things that are non maternity but you can wear with a growing bump. Yes there are some things you have to buy maternity like shorts or jeans but I prefer to buy dresses that I know I can wear now and will wear later as well. Maternity clothes can get so expensive and I hate to think I can't wear something again that I spent good money. I rounded up some dresses that I would work for the third trimester as well as after the baby arrives.

Madewell Short Sleeve Dress in Masmodil Plaid
Oversized dresses are the best when you're pregnant. They work for pretty much the entire 9 months. I own a Madewell dress similar to this and even now at 33 weeks and 5 days it fits and has some room to spare.

I think maxi dresses were made for preggos. They're so comfy and easy to throw on. What I've noticed is you have to make sure they have a lot of extra fabric, no tight dresses because eventually they'll get uncomfortable. This dress would be perfect because it has a lot of room plus it's flattering.

This dress is very drapey in the front, hence the name, so I think it would accommodate a bump really well. It would also be great for after the baby comes when everything is still lumpy and bumpy.

Meg, who just had a baby in June, recommended these dresses to me. They look like they're stretchy for the bump but not skin tight. I personally love stripes on pregnant women. This dress would be cute for Summer as well for the Fall with some boots.

I just bought this dress in black and stripe from Target last week and they're perfect for a big belly. I just sized up from my normal size. I'm really looking forward to wearing them in the cooler months after the baby comes with a jean jacket and booties.  The dresses are currently on sale for $14.99.

I almost bought this dress to wear for my baby shower but they no longer sell it in the navy color. They actually make this for maternity as well but I think the normal style would work great.

And because I can't go 5 minutes without someone asking me "Are you pregnant?!" I need this shirt too

  1. LOL that last shirt is just too funny! I've heard that maternity clothes can be pretty pricey so sizing up in regular tee shirts and then finding those stretchy dresses like you have are the way to go! xo, biana- BlovedBoston

  2. Haha that shirt is hilarious! Loving that olive maxi dress and that swing dress, so gorgeous! I think buying non maternity dresses is a genius idea! Maternity stuff is so expensive for only getting to wear it for like 9 months!
