Weekend

The long weekend was wonderful. It makes going back to work a little bit easier. Theo went out of town from Wednesday till Sunday so it was just my girl, the bump, and me for 4 nights.

Every afternoon Pixie stands at the window and waits for her daddy to drive up. I would have to tell her he isn't coming home tonight, it broke my heart! She loves Theo so much.

I made Annie's delicious Tomato Pie and ate off it for a few days. Theo doesn't eat tomatoes so I was kind of happy I could make it for once and not have to worry about him!

Speaking of eating, because that's all I can think about these days, I've gotten into a routine of eating the same things for breakfast.  I always eat yogurt with granola and either bananas or peaches, whatever I have.

And THEN for my second breakfast about an hour later, I've been loving this cereal that tastes just like Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

The baby must of had a growth spurt or I haven't been eating enough because this past week I've been STARVING all day long.

I tried a new restaurant on James Island called Ellis Creek Fish Camp and got the Oyster Po'boy. It was pretty good, the restaurant opened only a few weeks ago and you could tell they still had some tweaking to do.

I saw a couple of movies this weekend. First I saw Ricki and the Flash which was decent. I think my mom enjoyed it a lot more than me but that didn't surprise me! I thought it was kind of corny at times but my mom was rocking out so I'm glad someone liked it!

Then on Labor Day Theo and I saw No Escape. It was really good, kept you on the edge of your seat. My hormones are so out of whack I almost started crying during it. I've started to get really sentimental when I see kids in danger in movies!

We ended the long weekend at my parent's house for my Lowcountry Boil /  Frogmore Stew / Beaufort Stew, it has a couple of different names but it's all the same thing and it's always good!

And just an update, I LOVE my MIRA water bottle. I got the 25oz one so it's huge but I like that I can take a lot of water with me and it stays really cold. Such a great deal for $21!

How was your Labor Day weekend? What did you do?

  3. Ohh that pie looks delicious! So does that mac and cheese from Ellis Creek Fish Camp. It's always nice to try out new restaurants but never a good thing when you can tell they still have kinks to work out. Glad you had a good weekend!
