I've been so bad about posting since the baby was born! It's not that I haven't tried to blog but ever since he turned 2 weeks old, gone are the days of napping any and everywhere. Now he'll only nap on me or in his car seat on the go. He doesn't make it easy on me! But I found a solution, I finally pulled out the Ergo that I bought months before he was born and now I can multitask! He can nap and I can get my butt off the couch and actually do something! Why I didn't start using the Ergo before is beyond me, but now it's mommy's best friend.

Side note, I hate this bathroom with a passion and really want to wallpaper it. That's one of my projects for the new year!

The little guy turned 7 weeks on Friday!

That makes me so happy because 6 weeks was rough on all of us. I guess they hit a pretty big growth spurt at 6 weeks which means extra fussiness and no sleep. I swear right before he turned 6 weeks he was sleeping 4-5 hours a night and then BAM he hit 6 weeks and we were back to the 3 hour stretches, sometimes 2. I've always called him my high maintenance baby because he'll quickly cry if he isn't happy and for that whole week he had The Fuss, bad. Since turning 7 weeks he's been so much happier and smiley and not as fussy. But most importantly, sleeping 5-6 hours a night!

We had a great Thanksgiving and the weather couldn't have been more perfect.

I decided to avoid the stores on Black Friday and did some shopping online. I've been really big on buying used baby clothes off Instagram. I stocked up on a ton before Oliver was born and still buy a few things here and there. Since babies really only wear things once, to me it makes more sense to buy it used for a lot cheaper than the retail price. I got him this precious bubble to wear in the spring.

Friday night we ordered a pizza and watched Jurassic World. The movie was pretty good. Nothing like the original Jurassic Park but entertaining.

We put up our tree on Saturday and Oliver was in awe of all the lights. For about 2 seconds.

It's always special going through our ornaments every year. We gave Christmas ornaments as our wedding favors and I saved a few for our own tree.

Sunday we had a delicious brunch at Madra Rua. Their Irish Benedict with corned beef and hash was SO good. It was my first time getting poached eggs since no longer being pregnant and I was in heaven.

And we ended the weekend with burgers and corn on the grill.

How was your weekend?

  1. So glad the Ergo is helping you get stuff done and that little man is sleeping 5-6 hours a night now! Yay! Love that pic of him in his turkey get up, so cute! Your tree looks gorgeous too! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes

  2. Gah you have convinced me to start wearing Molly Anne! I still haven't!

  3. Looks like a great weekend and so glad he's back to being a happy, sleeping baby! I used to wear Ginny non-stop because she was the same with napping. I always forget about my baby bjorn with Emma Grace but it would probably make me way more productive if I just carried her around on my chest and had two free hands!!

  4. Beautiful pictures! That turkey onesie is so cute!

  5. Aw I love that family photo!! I can't believe he is almost 2 months.. where does the time go?! And your tree is gorgeous friend!

  6. We LOVE our baby carriers. Leo takes at least one nap a day in one. Normally between 5:30-7:00 which is his least favorite time of day!

  7. Oh my gosh, little Oliver is the cutest!! I love that golf bubble and his turkey outfit is fantastic. We still need to see Jurassic World, but glad to know it can wait ;)

  8. I bought my sister that and can't wait for the someday for that to be gifted back to me ;-) It really does allow you to get so much done!

  9. You look incredible girl!! I'm so happy that you have found a new way to get things done! xo, biana -BlovedBoston

  10. Sounds like you had a great weekend. Oliver is too cute! And on another note, love that you gave ornaments as favors at your wedding. What a fun idea!
