friday round Up + oliver is 2 months old!

I have a 2 month old. He's actually 9 weeks today. So crazy. The first few weeks of his life I was just trying to survive and unfortunately I couldn't wait for them to pass! Now I'm asking for life to slow down!

We had his 2 month check up yesterday and he's coming in at 13 lbs 2 oz and 23 3/4 inches long. No doubt he's going to be a tall boy! I think it's awesome that he's growing and gaining lots of weight just off my breast milk. That stuff is amazing.

I know I'm totally going to jinx myself but he's been sleeping like a champ lately. He'll sleep anywhere from 5-7 hours at night before waking up. I've started putting him in his room for naps and it's been working out great. It's one of those things where I wonder why I never did it sooner? We tried the crib and that lasted 10 minutes so the Rock 'n Play it is! I put up light blocking curtains and make sure the room is nice and cold and he'll sleep 1.5-2 hours.

I'm working on the EASY (Eat, Activity, Sleep, and You) routine with him. It's still too hard trying to do a schedule because everyday is different. I wish I had a picture but I taught him to stick out his tongue this week. So now he's constantly sticking it in and out at everyone. It's really cute!

Momma and Daddy have their first night out this weekend! We're going to a wedding Saturday night and I can't wait! I'm sure I won't last past 9 pm but it'll be nice to get away and have a drink. I got this dress to wear to the wedding. It runs a little big which is perfect because my stomach is not ready for tight clothes.

I made this pasta this week and it was delicious. I always love Iowa Girl Eats' recipes. Penne with Kale, Butternut Squash, and Sausage I bought the already cubed frozen butternut squash and it made it so easy.

Little Oliver is getting baptized on Sunday and we have family in town plus that wedding Saturday night so it's going to be a busy weekend around here!
