friday round up

Oliver was baptized last Sunday at the same church we were married at 3 years earlier. I apologize for these crappy pictures. They're a picture of an actual picture. My mom deleted them from the iPad before sending them to me so all I have is an actual picture and those weren't very good anyways.

Oliver with his Godparents, Theo's brother and his wife

It was Oliver's first time in church and I'm not going to lie I was pretty nervous about taking a 2 month old to church. Especially after he had his 2 month shots on Thursday and was very fussy all day Friday and Saturday. He did great during the baptism, didn't cry when the water was placed on his forehead. But once we went back to our seats, he was over the gown. I saw the red start to emerge on his face and his eyes start to squint and I looked at Theo and said "we're out of here." I can't blame the little guy. The Christening gown that he wore was over 100 years old and it looked it. So I'm sure it wasn't comfortable at all. It was worn by my great grandmother, my grandmother, my mom and her 3 siblings, my cousin, and I even wore it when I was a baby. So it's very special to our family and I love that he was able to wear it. I wish I had an up close picture of it.

Once the service was over, everyone came over to our house for cake. And the little prince was changed into something more to his liking.

It was so cute seeing Oliver with his cousins all weekend. I was pretty surprised how interested they were in him.

I had my friend Pat at Sew Buttons Boutique make us new stockings this year.

I think Pat can pretty much make anything you send her. I sent her pictures of the Pottery Barn stockings I was thinking about ordering and in less than a week she had these made. I think they look identical to the PB ones.

I snapped the cutest picture of my grandma holding Oliver this week. She just adores him, it's so sweet.

I can't believe Christmas is next week! Before I know it'll be January and I'll be back at work! :(
