five on friday

1. Theo and I are in a wedding this week and I had to get a babysitter for the rehearsal dinner Friday and the wedding on Saturday. It's the first time Oliver will be watched by anyone other than family and my first time mom self is a little..ok, very nervous! I know he'll be fine but I'm such a control freak when it comes to him and like things to be done a certain way. I'm trying to get better about it!

2. The warm weather means it's bubble time! I've been stocking up on bubbles since I found out I was having a boy so I'm too excited that he can finally wear them! I know the day will come when he's only going to want to wear Spiderman and Under Armour, yuck, so I'm going to dress him in sissy suits for as long as he'll let me!

3. We have a new addition to our family, a Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree.

I've been wanting one for a long time and found an awesome deal. Problem is I have a black thumb but I'm going to try my hardest to keep it alive for as long as I can. I put it in that basket for now, but I'm currently looking for a bigger one. If anyone has any tips on how to maintain them, let me know!

4. We had a great Easter last weekend aside from the rainy weather. I had way too much fun putting Oliver's Easter basket together. He's only 5 months what does he really need but he does love that Jellycat bunny! He has a thing for stuffed animals and loves his lovey that I let him sleep with every night. It's the sweetest thing.

5. I just bought Kristin Cavallari's book Balancing in Heels on my Kindle. I'm interested in what she has to say about eating and living a healthy life and I also want to read some inside scoop on The Hills and Laguna Beach. I'll let you all know how the book is! Hopefully better than her homemade formula recipe she posted in People magazine.

  3. I'm the same way as you - I freaked a bit when we left MA with a babysitter. Basically I just kept telling myself that babies are resilient and she'd survive! Every time so far, she's survived! And probably had more fun than if she was just home with me! ;)

  4. I really liked Kristin’s book! I would get a bigger basket for the plant so the roots have room to grow!
