6 Beauty Products I'm Loving

Body Merry Night Cream- I recently ran out of my other really $$$ night cream and thought I would see what clean products Amazon had to offer. This Night Cream has 700+ great reviews and was only $16.99 so I figured I would give it a try. So far it's been 2 months and I've been really happy with it. Is it working miracles? Probably not but it's keeping my face hydrated during these dry, winter months and it has lots of good stuff in it like Niacinamide and Hyaluronic Acid to help with aging. If you've been looking for a clean night cream that's well priced, I would recommend this one!

Acure Dry Shampoo- I'm a Batiste Loyalist (no it's not an actual thing. I made it up) but Batiste comes in an aerosol can and it has bad ingredients so it was time to find something else. I went back to using Acure's Dry Shampoo that I had used before. It does a good job of soaking up the grease in your hair without leaving it with that yucky, too much product in your hair feeling that so many dry shampoos do. I've always felt like I go through Batiste so quickly which means I was buying 1 can every 2 weeks which can get expensive. With Acure's, I don't feel like I have to pour as much in my hair so I'm hoping it'll last longer. It seems a little goes a long way.

Spearmint Tea- Did you know Spearmint Tea gets rid of hormonal acne? It has anti-androgen effects (the hormones that cause excess sebum which leads to acne) and is awesome for acne, facial hairs, PCOS symptoms, etc. I don't have PCOS as far as I know but I have struggled with jaw/chin acne since my early 20's. You can also take Spearmint pills but I like to think drinking the tea works better because it gets in your system faster rather than pills that take 30 min to absorb. Who knows if this is true and I do own pills as well for those times I didn't have any time to drink tea. Brooklyn Blonde has a really good blog post about it if you want to read more. My skin was doing really good and I got kind of slack about taking pills/drinking tea back in Thanksgiving. Recently my skin has had some breakouts (probably from all the Reeses' I've been eating) so I'm back on the Spearmint train!

Eco Tools Foam Applicator Brush- I've been using this brush to apply foundation and I really like how it gives me an airbrushed look. I'm new to the sponge world of applying makeup but I think I'm hooked! I'm sure this isn't as great as an actual Beauty Blender but it does the job and it was only $3!

W3LL People Natural Narcissist Foundation- If you can't tell by now, I like to switch things up. Especially if what I'm using is pricey, I like to see what else is out there. My current foundation was amazing but it was just too expensive. I picked this foundation stick up at Whole Foods recently but you can also get it from Amazon. Using a stick foundation versus a liquid was definitely a learning curve but the Foam Applicator Brush I talked about above makes it really easy. This foundation gives a nice, medium coverage I would say. It's not heavy at all and I don't feel it on my skin all day. I really like it, maybe even more than the Gressa Foundation I loved. It gives you a natural look, I think. Gressa's is more full coverage and can leave you cakey if you aren't careful. I haven't had that problem with W3ll People's!

Billion Dollar Brows- This brow pencil is a one-color-fits-all so it matches with most hair colors/skin colors. I found it at Marshall's for $3.99 so check there first but it's also on Amazon for $13.89- retails for $18. It's a clean brand, too. The color is perfect for my light brows and it applies very smoothly, I love it!

  1. You have sold me on drinking spearmint tea and I need to start immediately. I also have to try the Acure shampoo. How do you apply it?

    1. I just sprinkle a small amount into areas that are greasy and rub it in with my hands a little. I'm usually getting ready for bed or getting ready for the day so I'll throw my hair on top of my head while I finish. Once I'm done, I'll brush my hair through and flip it upside down and then it's good!
