3 skin tips that have made a difference

My skin as per usual is pretty wishy washy. Depending on my hormones, what I've eaten, stress, sleep, menstrual cycle, you name it, it all goes into play on how my skin looks. I recently switched to a higher strength AHA toner and it did a doozy on my skin. I had an immediate purge that has thankfully after 4 weeks almost all cleared up. To speed up the process, I started implementing these 3 practices daily and it helped my skin to clear up so much faster than if I hadn't done them. So here they are!




1// Wash your face for a full 60 seconds

I know for a fact I never washed my face for a full minute before now. It was probably closer to 10 seconds, honestly! I always use micellar water to get my makeup off my face then I use my facial soap to get it all clean. But actually taking the time to wash my face in circular motions all over and count to 60, has made such a difference.



2// Ice roll 2x a day

I don't know about you, but when the ice roller first became popular a few years ago I ordered one to see what the hype was all about. I used it for a few mornings then put it back in the freezer one day and forgot about it! I guess I didn't feel like I had the time to use and I didn't know if it was even making a difference. If you aren't familiar with it, it's supposed to decrease puffiness on your face. I recently heard that if you have inflammation on your skin you should be using an ice roller morning and night. It makes total sense but I just never thought about it before. You use it after you wash your face but before you apply your toner. I pulled my 2 year old ice roller out of the freezer one day and started using it again and it really does shrink your pimples, like instantly. So I'm hooked and I use my ice roller religiously now.



3// Slap your skincare in


Yes, you read that right. Supposedly if helps your body to absorb your serums and creams much better. It's an old Korean technique and they swear by it. They claim it reduces the appearance of wrinkles, shrinks pores, and slims your face as well. You're definitely going to get some looks from your spouse the first few times you do it, or at least I did! But I think most men don't understand half of the things us women do for anti aging so he'll quickly forget about it, haha!
