Elsie's big girl room

I am so excited to start planning Elsie's big girl room! Although realistically she'll probably in be in her crib for at least another 6 months. She loves it so much and the thought her getting in and out of a bed scares me! She's the child I can imagine roaming around the house in the wee hours of the morning. She'll be 3 in June so that's my plan start working on her room.

She has a brown wooden four poster twin bed to use that has been in my family for years. It was even my bed for a good decade so I think it's really special she gets to use it too! I've gone back and forth about painting it white but ultimately I think I'll leave it brown. It's an antique and should stay that way. We received a mint green French provincial chest of drawers for free that I'm going to use in her room and I am debating if we should paint it white as well! I kind of want to see how it looks with the rest of the room and then decide.

I'm obsessed with the wallpaper and considering how expensive wallpaper has become, I think it's a good price. The rose picture was a Facebook Marketplace find and the start of my inspiration for her room. What I think is really neat and unfortunately you can't see it in this picture is the underside of the rose quilt is pink and white striped and ties right into the rose picture.

In place of the glider we had in her nursery, I'm going to put a doll house. She has a cute little nook area in her room that it'll fit perfectly in. And I just love the idea of a wicker table and chair set. Depending on what I decide for her chest of drawers, I'll either do white or green. This is like the little girl's room of my dreams and I can't wait to see it finished!
